A Pokemon porn puzzle game by Argon Vile. Didn't see it here, but thought some might be interested. Heads up that you have to keep care with your save file and password, since the URL changing will fuck stuff up.
>Here's a puzzle game I made where you can interact and solve puzzles with Pokemon. There's a lot of Pokemon to meet and different things to try, so take your time and have fun with it!
>This game is fun if you explore it and find some of the surprises for yourself. But there are also some things you might not understand. Be cautious if you choose to collaborate with other players in the comments below; you might find spoilers which make your experience less enjoyable. Happy puzzling~
>Your game should save after every level, but this save file will be lost if FurAffinity changes the filename. This can happen if I have to upload a new version of the game. I'm sorry. I will try to do this really rarely since it sucks losing all of your progress. If you want to make sure you don't lose your progress, I have included a password feature. On the Options screen on the main menu, you can view your name and password. When starting a new game, you can tell Grovyle your name and password to continue your progress. All of the Pokemon you've met will remember you, and you will retain any items you have purchased.
It's a bit neat, and the bugs are cute. I'm about 47% complete. It seems simple at first but there's a lot of little stuff that adds up and is pretty nifty.

You can upload it here, but because of URL shit, your save file would have to be manually grabbed and renamed to get it to read again.

Overrated faggot. Used to actually be loose friends with him, thought we had something in common because we were both programmers. Thought I'd talk about that shit with him one day, he went off saying the last thing he wanted to talk about was work related stuff. Never talked to him since, unfriended him weeks later. That was over four years ago and it looks like he hasn't improved a bit, clinging to his meme style instead

Understand that this game is not a real puzzle, in puzzle games the solution is always clear or at least you can make a good guess, here it's not possible as the clues allow multiple combination that a logically valid but only 1 of them is accepted, ergo a significant amount of patience may be required depending on your luck to find out the right one, dosen't help that the reward are quite shitty, just fingering and maybe a dildo later, there are both better puzzle games and better porn games
The only positive is that this game is somewhat cute and funny, plus low puzzle have and obvious solution with the clues provided thus encouraging you to play a bit, but that's it

I can understand the complaints from >>68859 now. If you're really good at using logic, you can come up with theoretical solutions using only a couple of the "rules" as posited by the game's pegs, but don't actually work.
IMO the problem mostly lies in being so explicitly randomized that it makes such a huge variance in puzzle difficulty. Currently, most of the fun for me is trying to come up with a true solution, in creating a series of foolproof steps that leads to the solution without any 'guesswork,' but it seems some puzzles just give you such little practical information that you have to make logical guesses and work from there until a deadend or solution is reached.
The characters are actually kind of interesting, in that they all have their own preferences and personality. The minigames suck ass and the money thing seems mostly hamfisted.

It's kind of like the counting game, where you start with 21 and then you take turns subtracting 1 or 2 until you reach 0, and the person who hits 0 is the loser.
So you take turns moving through a board of spaces, forward and backward. You can choose to count 0, 1, or 2 spaces... But the catch is, your opponent also counts what spaces you move. The point to this is when you land on the same space as your opponent you knock them off and delay them, so your goal is to make movements in such a way that lead you to landing on your opponent's space, but not the other way around.
In a real-world scenario, this makes for a fascinating case of simple but intense mind games. On the basic level, you might want to call 2 for your own movement and 0 for your opponent's movement (maximize your movement, minimize their movement) but assuming that the opponent is also always doing this, you can call 1s to set up landing on their space to specifically knock them off.
In the game itself, it kind of falls short because you don't actually have to throw at the same time. If you really wanted to, you could catch a glimpse of your opponent's call before you choose yours, so you could always get positive results for yourself with good planning and reflexes. But... it's not like it's worth the effort IMO.

These types of puzzles are pretty new to me so I haven't come up with much yet aside from just good mental backtracking. It's like a bastardization of Mastermind, in that it follows a lot of similar concepts but there doesn't seem to be enough substantial clues to lead to the solutions without just having to make logical leaps.
That said, there are definitely things you can do to make it easier for you. First and foremost, something really helpful is the little white circle next to the character's portrait - if you drop a bug there, then it creates a hologram of the equivalent number of pegs in the puzzle. If it's a puzzle that you can't reason out mentally, then the first thing you should do is drop each colour bug onto the circles, so that you can start ruling out colours.
Quick terminology: Dots = clues that have a bug of the right colour, but not the right space. Hearts = clues that have a bug of the right colour and space.
- Once you've done that, the best start is clues that have no correct colours. In the rare cases you have those clues, you can instantly rule out all colours involved in that row.
- The next step are clues with dots only. When you have one of these, you can take away all of the current spaces on your holographed bugs, which gives you a visual representation of what you know is impossible. Sometimes, you can outright get one or two colours just from this.
- If you have any clues with hearts only, then you can cross-reference with your current holograph at this point.
So... The complex part is that most clues tend to be a mixture of dots and hearts, and so far I haven't found a foolproof way to handle that. I've had a few really difficult puzzles that just gave me no guaranteed slots as far as I could find with the above information, so here's where we're getting into mental guesswork. You might need a notepad of some sort because the holographs aren't good enough for this:
- If you have a single heart or a single dot, these are your next targets. Pic related for an example - if we have no outs, then we start working our way through these rows with an if/then question. We could be starting at the top one, and say, "What if the purple one is the Heart in this row?" By saying this, we know that there are no oranges or browns. We then move down a row to test this rule, and we can say that there still can be no oranges or browns, but there also must be only one purple, as row two has two purples but only one heart.
You can work your way down the clues in that manner, until you find something proving that it can not be correct - say you come across a row that requires you to have orange for it to be correct if you can only have one purple. You then back up to the original point, and instead you ask, "What if the orange in is the Heart in this row?" and you keep working down.
If you can't make any outs from there, then it becomes a bit of a pain...

Kind of. The idea is that you have some amount of control over your opponent's movement, and not entire control over your own. The basic goal is to move yourself as fast as possible, while moving the opponent as slowly as possible - but the complexity comes in that you're rewarded for landing expressly on your opponent's space.
Try to be mindful that if your opponent is 1-2 spaces behind you, then you should make them move past you, so that you can land on them yourself.
Also, you can skip those minigames entirely, by the way. I stopped doing them pretty quickly.
>>68929
It's easy basic math but the AI is literally cheating. You can convince Abra to play with you but he "solves it" faster than can be beaten in practical terms, mostly because even after you have your bugs in the right location the scale has to move for like ten seconds before you're finished. Some of the rounds, I was sure even taking out the mouse element I still wouldn't have won.

> people are having trouble with 4+ pegs puzzles. Nigger it's simple.
First step is knowing which colors are in the solution. Fuck the order.
You get a rules with ♥°°° in a 5 peg puzzle that means one of the five things are not in the solution and the other four are in the solution.
Mark them all and then see if there's any contradictions with other rules.
Now that you know which colors are in the solution (including how many of them repeat themselves), it's time to lock one of the ♥ colors and see if it contradicts anything. You'll get the solution.
There is always one extra rule not needed to solve the puzzle. I can solve the 7 peg ones without any hints now (but it's a long tedious process).
The hints save a lot of time SOMETIMES. At other times you get something you can deduce easily with one rule.

I kind of stopped playing because it got boring. The story isn't super stellar and the puzzles are too repetitive for how many you have to do for money (and I guess story progression, as it seemed tied to either masturbating pokemon or obtaining money).
There is one thing I've been thinking about and would love to hear some other opinions about. Grovyle early on asks some existential bullshit question about sexuality, posing a question about in a theoretical situation where you fell in love with someone whose gender doesn't match your orientation, would you not be bi then? I think most likely it's probably a self-insert projection of argonvile's own beliefs, which seems to be that "everyone must be at least a little bisexual"...
And I actually think it's correct, but naively phrased. I'm firmly homosexual; feminine qualities and typical feminine attitudes disgust me, and the female body just doesn't appeal to me in a way the male body does. That doesn't mean I can't appreciate it - cuntboys are a guilty pleasure of mine, and I especially fantasize myself as one from time to time, despite vaginas usually striking me as disgusting. I think this is the way that I am "partially bisexual" - utterly irrelevant in practical terms, but in very specific scenarios I can be turned on by female genitals, in much the same way that occasionally otherwise unappealing fetishes can be appealing. It's all in the depiction of it, for me.
So... What if I found a female whom I became attracted to? It would rather be a miracle, because for further attraction past basic physical lust, a lot of feminine qualities and traits are staunchly incompatible with my desires. I can look past a few here and there - it's not like females are made up wholly of feminine traits and males are made up wholly of masculine traits, there's some amount of mingling that lends to everyone's individuality. Somewhat frustratingly, I have a very high, squeaky voice for a male, and I find it best for me to speak in softer tones, but this also means that typically people call me a "ma'am" at first. So in that way, theoretically there could exist a woman whom actually largely has just the right mixture of masculine and feminine traits that creates such a personality that I would be able to romantically connect to.
And.. I still wouldn't fuck her, because bitches be crazy. Gods, I'm glad to be gay LOL XD

>>69641
Personally, I didn't find it warranted much thought. Much like everything she whined about.
She's lucky she's cute, because otherwise it'd've been insufferable.
If you only fuck men, you're gay. If you only fuck women, you're straight. If you fuck both, you're bi. Thus, if you were straight, but then fucked a man, you must be gay.
Not complex. Problem is that people assign unnecessary weight to it.
▶ No.69643>>69647
>>69642
Shitposting about it aside, I think that's kind of the point. People put so much weight into labels, but I think it's kind of important to have a group you feel like you belong to, at least in our western culture. Self-identity and individualism is important to us, which ironically ends up restricting us to very clearly defined groups, but I think this is necessary for a healthy person because it creates acceptable boundaries and a scope to their individuality, order to the chaos that is one's own personality.
As with all labels you get people that take their label to be the core of their being. There exist furries whom have no identity outside of being furries, and they tend to be poorly adjusted individuals, and this remains true even for things like sexuality.

I've gotten it to work with male Smeargle, you just rub his stomach, you get some red hearts, but shortly after if he even starts to get an erection, you just work on that from there. You will know you've done it if he shows interest after you start by making noises and more hearts popping up. If not, you are screwed and it won't work ever. Nothing I've tried but that has worked.

Grovyle supposedly goes into detail about it in the tutorial but I never found it. If you've ever played Mastermind, you can figure it out, but the basic process is that post-novice not only are you looking for the correct Number of each colour, you're also looking for the correct Order as well. The thinking process is kind of the same, but it takes a few more logical conclusions to reach a correct answer.
So if you have a set, let's say Red Red Green, and next to that set is a single Pip, then you know that there is only one of those colours in the answer, but they're not in the location as that set. You can also infer, however, that if it is Red, there is only one Red, and also Red/Green exclude the other.
So let's say you also have a set that is Green Green Red, and it's followed by 2 Hearts. The Hearts mean that you have two colours that are the correct colour as well as in the correct order. So using our information from the first set, you know the correct answer is Green Green (!Red). The Red in the second set can't possibly be a heart because then the set is false, as you can not have a Green and a Red as per the first set.
That help?

I probably shouldn't be on 8ch. But I wanted to clear up that I'm gay and Grovyle's entire speech was me playing devil's advocate. I don't think she has any business telling me I'm not technically gay just because of some implausible what-if scenario. That entire conversation with her makes me feel uncomfortable, even though I'm the one who wrote it. I tried hard to represent characters of different beliefs which don't align with my own.

That's pretty interesting. One thing I do appreciate about the game is that the characters all have varied and mostly interesting personalities, even though I personally found it a little dull giving handies to get character growth.
It doesn't actually hurt my feelings, in that I was mostly just trying to stimulate discussion because I find it an interesting subject (though I think most of us on 8ch will be pretty vehemently against any such bullshit because of an anti-SJW culture) but in general I think people are just getting way too caught up in the idea of what gender actually is. I can understand the idea of, "Gender is a meaningless label, so love who you love," but then these same people can also miss that people can have what they like and also what they dislike.
It comes out to be a bit of a double-standard because short males get seriously fucked over because women significantly prefer taller men, but you don't really hear anyone raising a ruckus about that.
Thanks for offering your input though.

The problem I, and I think others, have isn't necessarily the "trial-and-error" as you frame it, but the requisite leaps in logic. Take sudoku, for example; you learn a variety of methods to prove numbers, so with most levels of difficulty every step of the way, the information is there that you can pick out the next proof. However, when you start getting into "XTREME UNBEATABLE DOUBLE NIGGER" difficulty tiers, you start getting branching paths - points where there aren't any proofs. These are shitty gimmick difficulties, because of instead of playing the game, you instead play a "what-if" where your only option is to pick one path and follow it until you can determine it's a dead end or not. These types of difficulties are a joke because, for speedsolvers, it comes down to whether they picked the correct choice first or not.
Take pic related. It's not the best example because I lost my savefile so I just blitzed through until I found a remotely relevant case. In it, I've followed information mostly to its logical conclusion and found that there are no guaranteed proofs. There is one out to this, but let's ignore the bottom rule, because I've seen puzzles that didn't offer such information. From here, the next forward step is to make a logical leap, and it's basically guesswork, just in an educated form. We want to know if there's a red or a purple, so as per Rule 1, if there's no red, there has to be a green, and if there is a green we know it's location. If we place green there, we then know purple's location, and we know we have to have a blue in its final possible location. From there, we check this answer against the rules to see if there's any contradictions. Turns out, easily enough, this makes the correct answer. In harder puzzles, this first leap often doesn't provide the correct answer.
I'm aware that in the bottom rule you can see there must be no red, as you must have either yellow or purple, both of which contradict red. When you start jumping into puzzles that offer hints such as 4 hearts and 2 dots, you don't really get such easy solutions as that, and you have to start making these logical leaps. And yes, you can logic it out without "brute-forcing" it, but it still is a manner of force as you end up building a tree of possible answers to test against the rules to build your own set of rules. (If green can't be there, then I have no greens, which means I have to have a yellow, which means red can't be there...)
As a side note, I think the game was glitched in this manner - I remember activating "silver keys" and "gold keys" in the options as 'Always' and suddenly getting a whole lot of easier puzzles that required far less leaps in logic.
In short, they're not exactly the best puzzles.

There is always a simple logical path from the start to the end of puzzle, just like Sudoku. In Sudoku there are often branching paths and novices think they need to bifurcate, "I just have to GUESS there's a 3 here and see what happens." Experienced Sudoku solvers know better, and will never have to guess and check.
Here is a step-by-step solution for the puzzle you provided, it takes 10 steps to solve logically. There is no guessing.
Step 1: Based on clue #5, there must be a green in the solution. Otherwise Clue #5 would only have 2 or fewer hits.
Step 2: Based on clues #1 and #5, there can't be a green in the 1st, 3rd or 4th positions. Otherwise these clues would have a heart.
Step 3: Based on the fact that there must be a green, and the fact that a green can't go in the 1st, 3rd or 4th positions, there must be a green in the 2nd position.
(Solution: ??? Green ??? ???)
Step 4: Based on the fact that a green can't go in the 1st, 3rd or 4th positions, there are no more greens.
Step 5: Based on clue #5, and the fact that there are no more greens, there must be a purple and a yellow in the solution. Otherwise this clue would only have 2 or fewer hits.
Step 6: Based on clue #2, and the fact that there must be a purple in the solution, the purple must go in position #3. Otherwise this clue would have a dot, not a heart.
(Solution: ??? Green Purple ???)
Step 7: Based on clues #4 and #5, a yellow can't go in the 1st, 2nd or 3rd positions. Otherwise one of these clues would have a heart.
Step 8: Based on the fact that there must be a yellow, and the yellow can't go in the 1st, 2nd or 3rd positions, there must be a yellow in the 4th position.
(Solution: ??? Green Purple Yellow)
Step 9: Based on clue #2, there cannot be a red in the solution. Otherwise this clue would have 2 or more hits.
Step 10: Based on clue #1, and the fact there cannot be a red, a blue must go in the 1st position. Otherwise this clue would only have two guts.
(Solution: Blue Green Purple Yellow)

The puzzles were hard at first but once you understand the process they are pretty simple. The only ones I need to use hints for (just to speed up things) are the 7 pegs puzzles and even then I can solve them on my own if I spend enough time with them. What's interesting is how you can get to the same solution while starting at different places. For instance, using the puzzle >>70613 as well:
:
1. Based on #2 there is either a single red or one or more purples in the solution
2. Based on #2 and #1 we know the solution contains green, purple and blue OR green, red and blue.
3. Interjecting those two possibilities, we know the solution contains green and blue for certain
4. Based on #1 and #5, we know green has to be in second position.
Colors in Solution: GB??
Colors not in Solution: R
Ordered Solution: ?G??
5. Based on #2, #4 and our current solution, red can't be in positions 1, 2 or 4 leaving purple as the correct choice.
Colors in Solution: GPB
Colors not in solution: R
Ordered Solution: ?GP?
6. Based on #3, #5 and our current solution, yellow must be in position 4
Colors in Solution: GPBY
Colors not in solution: R
Ordered Solution: ?GPY
7. Elimination process dictates blue has to be in position 1.

>Experienced Sudoku solvers know better, and will never have to guess and check.
This is actually wrong. Skills like Forcing Chains and especially Nishio are all about making actual guesses to check possibilities for other squares to find like positives (Forcing Chains - you take two guesses to see if those guesses lead to a guaranteed answer in another square) or to find contradictions (Nishio, which is basically just a step away from literally solving the puzzle under an assumed answer).
These skills are actually pretty relevant in your pegs puzzles, and are things I had to employ in actual difficult puzzles rather than a quick one-off I grabbed to make a point, which both you and >>70647 missed by a mile to make the semantic argument that the example has an easier solution: For most people, the need to use skills like Chains in these puzzles makes for incredibly boring puzzles. Most people I've known of that have taken speedsolving puzzles seriously (primarily people as an offshoot of speedcubing, fwiw, so there can certainly be bias) take more pride in solving similarly difficult puzzles faster as opposed to arbitrarily more difficult puzzles, especially when that difficulty comes in the shape of, "Oh, I didn't start with the randomly correct Chain so I was slower than my average." This latter part, I think, is what people are complaining about with the puzzles, just far less eloquently than I applied it: It's not that there isn't logic in it, but that the logic involves jumping around.
