The reason why he brought up the gore analogy is because many people find it distateful and abhorrent in real life, yet they don't mind it when it's depicted in fiction. You can try, but you're not going to make those views disappear. They don't have those views to become arbitrarily mean, they obtain them because there's a lack of fundamental trust. It makes legitimate sense to me. They don't trust an economic system that has failed before, they don't trust types of people who have let them down by committing crime or attacks, they don't trust the government body to shield them, etc. It's human not to place your full faith in an uncertain or dangerous outcome.

Not saying that you should kiss their feet or take insults that they throw at you, but I think it's essential to build that trust. I personally lead by example by trying to be helpful to them and deviating from negative stereotypes. My long time white friend, despite being right-leaning, isn't a WN because he has me in his thoughts. It's good to display your identity when you're doing good things, not when you're fighting.

What I'm stating is that being good works long term as it plants a seed of doubt in their head. You want the short term solution of beating them or killing them, but you're well aware that's not how people change their beliefs. If violence worked then discrimination would have been official over in 1945 or recently in early 2017 where Spencer got punched, but it didn't. Violence didn't discourage gay rights or civil rights, so why would you think it would work for something like white nationalism?

Those thoughts are going to be everywhere regardless of what you do and it's because they're formed from experience. You mistakenly believe that people become prejudiced from listening to podcasts and seeing memes, they don't. They become prejudiced from the bad experience that they had with minorities.
