I remember watching a program that features interviews with outlandish people, some which were about a niche sexual activity. Furries were featured in the marketing, so I was expecting the worst.

Hey buddy, I'm part of the "0.1%". I joined late 2000's which was well after the fandom turned into what it is today so I missed out on its arguably 'better' years. The porn is nice but I don't understand why fans leave such a good opportunity UNTAPPED for original content creation over their constant custom sparkledog orgies. It's like what-if the anime fandom just makes hentai and nothing else, a huge waste of potential. I would think that as an enthusiast of anthro characters in media, one would eventually get bored of the smut fics and...i dunno...explore new ideas which operate on a higher state of cognition?
