There will be a new map at some point, but for now we're doing without. I suck at images and editing them. Seriously, I can't even get a decent result out of the donjon whatsit mapmaker. We did it early on in Ero-Empire, we can do it here.

If someone wants to volunteer as cartographer, then I have the link for the google-image edit thing which links to the game board. Basically, you edit the map file and it updates on the board, as seen on the current board which has the old map as a placeholder.

Civ Name: The Korlick Hegemony

First Race:Many human slaves, overwhelmingly Dian'dre, giant Amazonian tiger people that like to fight and fuck, not always in that order.

First Town: Dia'kne

Town Type: Ruined Fortress

Government: Oligarchy

First Advantage: [Defense: High Walls]

First Commodity Spring: <Fire Powder>

Brief Summary: A nation of united clans and tribes dedicated to establishing a nation to call their home. That includes taking land with valuable resources, taking slaves, and breeding armies of soldiers.

>Action: Discover Commodity

>Commodity: None

>Points Spent: 8

Dia'kne was finally theirs. Lady Ko'lana repeated the name again and again, letting it tumble around in her mouth. A city to call their own. Granted it was more of a ghost town than the huge city it once was. Actually that was understating it. Even with the united tribes, the muster could barely find enough soldier to patrol the city's vast walls, let along rebuild the holes they made when they first took it. The streets were nearly empty, many families still going through the looted houses, picking out which one they wanted. In fact, the way her people had spread through the city, there was little of the city bustle she had come to expect. That would change though. With a place to secure their food stores, without the threat of raiders or scavengers, and a place for the men to keep to themselves, the city would grow. Her city.

She went through the inventories again. The humans had used much of their fire powder trying to repel her warriors, but she was delighted to find that many had yet to be touched. Entire pallets of pressed powder still lay in storerooms and warehouses that her soldiers were still uncovering. It was quite devastating being on the receiving end of those exploding packages. It would be nice to be using them instead. Food was still plentiful, the siege didn't last long enough for the humans to consume it all. Water was secured. Now for the slaves…

Many of the humans fell in the city's defense, a brave but foolish gesture. All it earned them was a quick death so they wouldn't see those left behind suffer. Already the human males were being sent down the old mineshafts. The humans had collapsed many of them before the city was taken to keep the Dian'dre from tunneling up. A foolish gesture as the Dian'dre didn't need them. Now the same miners that closed them toiled away reopening them, rediscovering the old tunnels, finding the veins to ores and stones that allowed the city to prosper in the first place.

All the while, the human wives and daughters learned that Dian'dre men were very…frisky. Moans and screams echoed through the old spires that dotted the top of the fortress. What used to be the homes of the wealthy and elite had been converted into a pleasure palace for the males to satiate their endless need to mate. She looked down and saw a Dian'dre male on the roof of his new home. He had cornered the house's former inhabitant, a human woman that looked rather delicate, dressed in colorful clothes, holding up a knife at the male. The Dian'dre batted it aside, pushed her down, and tore her skirt off. Her screams were muffled by his chest as he buried her under his massive frame, lining his hardening member with her entrance and pushing in. Ko'lana could see the woman's arms flailing as the male continued to force his entire length into her, before grabbing onto the male's arms. The Dian'dre then proceeded to mate with his new slave right on the roof. That reminded Ko'lana. She had to check on her own consort, make sure he had a personal bed warmer. Preferably a soldier, he liked his women to be strong and durable.

But that could come at a later time. For now, she had to see progress on the mineshafts.

Deep, deep down in the depths of the Palace of the Ancients, an assembly on thirty Queens and Kings gathered, some with their angelic lovers upon their side, others held close by the more jealous of the angels. Regardless, all spoke in hushed, relaxed, and quiet tones to not grate upon the ears of their loves.

They worked to strengthen ties within their kingdom, invest in infrastructure, and work on roads to pave the way for success in the future. After today, their kingdom would be less of a cobbled together mess, and more of a.. kingdom. Here, now in the city of Fairfield, their nation would begin it's journey and conquest. Civ Name: The Demoncratic Bureau

First Race: Demoburo

First Town: Tristram

Town Type: Town

Government Type: Bureaucracy

First Advantage: Technology: In The Court of the Crimson King

First Commodity Spring: Paper™

Brief description: Emerging from hell and finding the world lacking, the Demoburo became the world's first race of bureaucrats and lawyers before even the invention of the wheel.

>Action: Discover Commodity

>Points spent: 8

The thing with bureaucracy is, it tends to slow any natural process down to a stand still. While it may be useful for error-checking and for 'lawfully' acquiring a whole lot of money, it isn't a very great work ethic. Such was demonstrated in hell, where the Cult of Deniable Assets made quite a ruckus by stripping Belial of all his rights, then giving him ten months of mandatory public work. It didn't quite work out for them, for law is followed only as long as the people agree to it, and considering no people had the right to agree in Hell, they were basically useless.

The cult was chased out under threats of sodomy and laceration, and they personally noted down further investigation into "threats against their life" in the next quarter. There was a problem, however: They were now outside their legal jurisdiction, basically in international waters the moment they stumbled outside of some gaping hole. The hole, they noted, wasn't there before, and after some further scrutiny they would later find out that Belial had unlawfully erected an unregistered overground communications project without even paying any of his workers, and whilst all such workers would personally agree to his decision, none of them would be able to sign a proper legal document excusing Belial's (eng.) actions, considering the basic three subjects were unheard of in Hell.

To them, the hole wasn't merely a hole. It was a particularly unchartered hole, and it was not present in any local city zone map they could find (of which there were none). The next best thing, outside of simply excommunicating all of Hell, was to create a new city plan. This, by complete coincidence, caused an entirely new town to be created, one which later would become known as "Tristram" although every original plan called it simply "Administrative Region 35124M" (A stray immigrant erased it and threw some letters in instead).

At first, Tristram was nothing but a single wooden booth with some registration papers which simply filtered through all the additional traffic the portal generated. Apparently, it was the first of its kind in decades, and demons and runaway souls alike ran for it, expecting salvation, booty or both. Alas, there, at its very end, awaited a fate multitudes worse than being a personal pet to some demon in Hell. Lawyers. Worse, still, demon lawyers. While some may have slipped by that single registration booth, they were almost immediately brought to the side and sweet-talked to about the latest ventures, the three charities started just five minutes ago and the possible business opportunities in the new town of Administrative Region 35124M, of which there were none. No man, woman, or even demon could get past this barrage of bullshit, and if they could, they would belong to the bureaucrats just fine.

While the demons didn't have much personal property to speak of, they had one thing in hell: Paper. Many a demon thought this peculiar, white, flat thing was some kind of substitute for masturbation aid, and if the demonic bureaucrats had any humor to speak of, they would surely laugh at the countless demons trying to get off with edge-on paper. That wasn't its purpose, obviously enough. Paper was a resource they couldn't manage without. It was central to many of their tasks. Just imagine if, for every court order and every tax return, you would have to remember every single figure, word and punctuation mark by memory, then give it in triplicate. They didn't need pens, as charcoal was a-plenty in the paradoxically constantly burning hell. How did they make this paper, you may ask? Well, let's just say that only a third of their population could. Outside of hell, however, the normal inhabitant would find their original mixture somewhat smelly, so they adopted the ways of fibre and industrial process to manufacture it in large quantities. They put the multitudes of paper to good use immediately as they refused application after application of various misshapen demons.

The registration booth wasn't the only building to go up in Tristram on the very first day. The very second building and the very first foundation stone belonged to The Court. The Court had its own dull on-paper name, but everyone not purple simply called it The Court. The Court didn't earn its irregular capitalization simply by being the first; it lived up to its architects being a committee of litigious demons. Outside of literally being designed by a committee, it also took heavy inspiration from hell as that was the only place the demons could take inspiration from. Dark and brooding, occasionally even on fire, The Court would become a huge multi story, multi acre complex of halls and auditoriums, of juries and of ill-fittingly decorated waiting rooms and, true to its origin, there was only a single bathroom in all its grandness and - to add pain to injury - it was staff only. The largest of halls in The Court would become a hundred meters tall and thrice as long for perfect clarity of the Judge's voice, but at first The Court was a simple wooden building just a few yards across - it already had the restroom - and serving a simple purpose: Judgement.

The demons came upon one problem, however. No charcoal. No pens. No writing. Paper isn't of any use (outside of masturbatory autoflagellation) without something to write on it. They quickly found a novel solution: A local plant, colloquially called the "Vantas" when properly processed yielded a dye darker than any charcoal. With luck, by diluting it with alcohol or mineral oils, they can form a trademark judicial ink that would both daze and confuse, and perhaps even serve as a form of camouflage.

When making something, it'd be cool to see at a glance what you're trying to find. That way the GM can look at the summary at the top of your post and add it quickly, rather than having to go through everyone's whole post. I wish there was an archive still around…it'd probably make formatting posts easier.

Then, ideally, a second post talking about the roll you just made. Did you succeed? Awesome! Did you fail? Darn. Talk about it a little. If you got a disadvantage, describe it. The most story telling you do, the more sketched out your folks will be, the more people will want to read and eventually write about them!

It might be easier to post longer sections of text on an external site.

Posting in thread is for like, shortish posts. So you don't have to take two, three, four posts up with your stuff? Iunno, seems to keep things cleaner is all.

Also you only have to pass one captcha, which is apparently nearly impossible for me. I think I'm a robot or something.

 No.81909

>>81873

Nicely done! For future reference, when making an Discover Commodity roll, please put the desired Comm/Spring in the Commodity field. We know it doesn't require a Comm to do, so that makes bookkeeping much easier for me. As it is, I've put Himmelknyteve down for a <Fishing Port>, from which you'll get <Fish>. Trade is a separate action, but it's nice to know people can get to you by sea.

>>81877

Same problem here. I don't know what kind of mine is in Dia'kne, so it's really hard to put down in the sheet. <Gems>? <Copper>? <Coal>?

You've got a Success With Complications, which means you need to take a Disadvantage (like [Dis: Compromised Walls] on your Defense). Getting rid of it is as easy as writing a short post describing how, but it takes a turn and you don't get anything extra.

>>81883

>>81884

Unfortunately, your posts combined don't make up even 1k. So I have to take the first roll, which means Success With Complications. Take a Disadvantage (as above) and I'll update your sheet.

 No.81910

>>81882

Problems: I don't know what you're Discovering, or how. I do know who, kind of, but a Discover Commodity action's suggested length is 500 words. That should give you an idea of the level of detail we're looking for. So, I won't take your points, but I can't give you the Spring either. Figure out what it is you want to do, check the rules for a guide on how to do it (Specifically. Each action has a blurb, linked to in the actions list), and try again!

Short explanation, because light is associated with positive things due to humans not being naturally nocturnal, it's during the day that we can see most clearly as are therefor most safe and can hunt and forage for food. The source of fire was initially often a bright powerful bolt of lightning from the sky and fire brought and even closer association between light and power.

It doesn't matter how overwhelming darkness is, it can not even hope to approach the circle of light of even the smallest candle. which is why you corrupt the candle, metaphorical speaking.

tldr; Light's good in an age with limited artificial light.

If it makes you feel any better then just assume that "the light" is the closes english transation of what ever the good god is actually called in the local language.

First Commodity Spring: [Tasty Tasty Animals] are the staple diet of the Revelers. Having the sheer physical prowess to challenge and outmatch the jungle's worst, the Revelers reap freely the jungle's offerings.

Brief Summary: Celebration, because we are blessed and bountiful. The Moon's Shadow blesses us, and Festival prospers under its gaze. When the chosen brides come of age and the Moon's Shadow presents our new God to us, we dress her in the finery of her wedding day- the body glove the gods prefer, decorated to show her purity and the salubrious grace of the moment as the giant's tentacles reach out from its core and take her into itself.

A group of jungle superhumans with a giant biomech-manufacturing plant in their backyard. The plant picks out girls, those girls get older, and the giant biomechs produced swallow the girls. This is not just an excuse to have giant robots tentacle fucking women in pilot suit – wedding dress combinations.

Nothing to be sorry for, I'm the one who should apologize! I've just gone through the rules, and wouldn't you know, we don't have those buggers described anywhere? I mean, kind of vaguely under Catastophe, but that's an Action where you voluntarily take a Disadvantage or destroy something you own for points, or just to get rid of it.

Disadvantages from Failures/Complications should generally go on an item involved in the action which Failed/was Complicated. In this case, that's the <Horse Herds>. So, here's what I suggest:

Leave everything posted and written as canon. You'll take a Dis on <Horse Herds> like [Dis: Evil Beasts!], meaning you can't use the commodity until the Dis is removed. Which you can then resolve in a short post (100+ words) with Remove Disadvantage. After that, you will continue as usual, able to use and trade horses to your heart's content.

>>82022

I believe you can go ahead and just write up and post the aftermath now without waiting for another player, since it's still part of the same initial action, just something you couldn't do until the dice told you your fate.

 No.82029

>>82025

Huh it does. On the other hand, the 2k rule apply to everything. At the very least, invoking the rule gives you Kudos for whatever you might want to use them for. I bet they'll be valuable once the politidickery starts.

 No.82030

>>82021

>>82022

>>82024

>>82025

2lewd gives bonus points, as well as granting a Kudo which you can bestow on another player to give them +2 Points. There aren't really rules about why to give Kudos, but it should be because they wrote something you liked/came to, or stuff like that. They're purely meta.

So you get a Kudo, you don't discover the <Iron-Eaters., and you take a complication. As to merging aftermath with another Action, ehhh, I don't hate the idea. There's no mechanical benefit to doing so, but if it makes it easier on you, I don't see why you can't.

Also, for anyone who might be confused about this, an aftermath post after a roll does not count as an Action of any kind. It's just nice to let other people know what happened.

 No.82038

>>82030

Also I got a question about this section in the rules

>Even if you fail, you gain <Commodity x1>, so it is acceptable to write about finding the new resource when you take this action. Succeeding means you find a way to keep making it or find a large enough amount to continue producing it.

Does that mean if I roll during my aftermath I can take the <iron-eater x1> and make it a commodity spring?

 No.82039

>>82038

I believe you get the x1 version as part of the Aftermath, and later on can attempt to take another action to attempt to make it a permanent spring.

 No.82040

>>82038

Thanks for pointing this out. You get <Iron-Eater x1>. Since it doesn't take a Commodity to Discover a Spring, you can just make a second attempt your next action. Maybe you can put in the aftermath that you caught a healthy young specimen, and on success you capture a fertile broodmother to breed a domesticated population? OTOH, you now have two Commodities (once you get rid of the Dis on the Iron Mine), which means you can Raise Unit or Advance City, for instance. If you were to use <Fire Powder> and <Iron-Eater x1> to create a unit of kamikaze critters, you'd still have <Fire Powder> next turn, but no <Iron-Eater x1>.

If your next action is to Discover <Iron-Eaters> and you succeed, then yes you would 'lose' the <Iron-Eater x1> because you're assumed to have an endless supply of them while the Spring is in operation. You explicitly cannot use <Iron-Eater> (spring) and <Iron-Eater x1> as two commodities on the same action; they have to be distinct and unique commodities.

I'd just like to say to everyone, I'm real sorry about all the mistakes I'm making. It's been about a year since I played this system, and RL is kicking my butt. I'm not discouraged, I'm not giving up, I'm just letting you know that this is not my best and brightest. Things will get better.

 No.82048

I vote to let it slide as a Discover due to it flowing better with how the rules are written, and the dice punished him enough as is, but to encourage future game actions to match the write ups better, i.e. fluffing it more as discovering the same resource but from a different side rather than a raid

 No.82065

>>82064

It's kind of subjective. I think my definition might be a little more lenient than some. I've seen people claim 2lewd on things that were basically "And then they fucked." Community called it down. But that was back when 2lewd meant you could roll-2-pick-highest on any roll, from Points to Conquer. Now, all you get is a Kudo, which is something you pass on to other players.

See, if that had been a R4P, there's no way I'd call it 2lewd. That'd be a bit far. But for a Remove Disadvantage? It was creative, amusing, and a bit sexy. That's exactly the kind of thing we're going for here, and I feel that it should be rewarded. I hope you get some free points out of it!

Testing testing… Hopefully this will give you an idea of what the map will look like. It's randomly generated, but for those unfamiliar with Hexographer, I can edit it hex by hex, add markers for cities and mines, camps and armies, as well as rivers, borders, place names, etc.

This is a moderate-small sized map. I tried to go for maximum (500x500) and ran out of memory. I toned it back to 300x300 and it looked like more than I can handle. This is 80x60. We could definitely go a bit bigger, I think, but I wanna see what you guys think. Can you see the terrain well?

 No.82158

I think it looks alright. Dedicated software would make managing the map easier.

As for size, we could create something larger than we need and crop a portion as the starting map. That way there's room to expand, if this game keeps going for that long.

Also note, I just found out that I can expand/shrink the map if I buy the Pro version, which I intend to do in the near future. I'm enjoying the hell out of this program. So it lets you place things like our civs in the map with borders and everything? Cool, especially if it's easier to manage than just placing assorted markers on a globe.

Seems a big hueg if you're going to use singe-tile markers for cities etc, something this size is probably fine to start with if that's the case.

 No.82167

>>82156

That looks exceedingly generic. Needs more sea, in my opinion.

 No.82168

>>82165

What's in the legend above is a good fraction of what I can possibly do, terrain and symbol wise. As you can see, that's predominant terrain and features for individual areas and civs in a particular game, not a complete list.

As to city/tile ratio, Yes the marker will be a single tile, but there'll be a common-sense approach to area control and co-habitation. Three tiles cannot support three cities, you need farmland, hunting grounds, room to spread out. Something I bloody well can do is put you a marker for your town, and then add two or three villages around it to represent farming and mining communities as per your fluff. I've already played with a spot for Engloytig (farmland enclosed by mountains except for a one-tile pass, protected harbor. Think Thermopylae.)

So, take a look at the map. Find an area that looks good, tell me the grid number, and list any adjustments you want me to make. This can be as vague or specific as you like, but the more specific you are the more likely I am to get you exactly what you're envisioning. For instance, I can add some snowcapped mountains for Korlick, and some serious badlands for the Durgans, but I'd prefer to do so in areas that are already mountainous or desert already. Just keeps things looking coherent.

Just double-checked and let Kadmos know. It's a +1 without a Unit, my bad.

 No.82290

>>82288

No problem, but now I've realized an even bigger fuck up on my part - Build Camp can't actually target your own cities! Ha ha I'm retarded. It's going to become a proper Town soon anyway, I mainly set it up as a Camp first for fluff to establish that it's mainly a gateway to the main capital, so if you want me to kill the Camp part entirely and just roll it as Create Town instead of Settle Camp next time, I'm cool with that. Whatever is easiest on you cap'n.

 No.82295

>>82290

What I would really prefer, in that case, is that you made it into a part of the same town. Separate in fluff, but combined mechanically. This is partially for bookkeeping, but also because I'd like to keep a minimum co-location distance on towns and such.

There's lots of map to expand into if you want to create a new town, and the reasoning should be more along the lines of "We want to exploit that farmland to the west" or "We need a logging camp up in that forest to the north". If you look at the Tyrans, those three icons (the main spire and two ruins) are all one city in fluff, it's just that only one third of it is actually inhabited, apparently. Looking down at the Ironlands, there are three villages just outside their borders, which represent other tribes which are far enough away to not be competing for every game animal and acre, but close enough that I'm going to run around conquering them for a while.

Later on, if/when you Expand Furumoga into a City, you can retain it as the Outer portion of the city. I don't mind having a Camp on your own city for the time being, and either way it'll remain on the map until your canon situation evolves. I'll have to ask Kad why that part of the rule exists. If there's a past reason, I don't remember what the event was.

Anyway, if the point is for you to have a point of entry/trade with the terrestrial races, you have achieved it. If I had know that's what you were going for I'd have just said to fluff it, but here we are.

Dice rollRolled 3 (1d10)

This is a fairly straightforward one, I'll just shove it here.

>Action: Bolster Defenses

>Spent: 6 points, 1x<Vantas Dye>

Speaking of alternative uses for the <Vantas Dye>, aside it from being a good dye and decent-enough aphrodesiac, it also absorbs light. It absorbs it *really* well. So well, in fact, that when an object is coated with it, it becomes incomprehensible and confusing in shape. With an expansion of dye production also came a lowering demand and, with enough surplus dye, it could be used for defensive purposes.

And so it were. The inner halls of The Court and any future defenses are coated with a layer of <Vantas Dye> that confuses enemies, but with enough exposure, one can become used to the light-sucking coating. It is also quite a good insulator and heat absorbant at the same time, preventing any walls to be scaled on a hot Summer day without serious burn injuries. Consequently, it makes night sieges basically impossible, as the enemy can't even see the fortification itself, or anyone in it, or anyone near it.

A bonus, of course, is that fresh <Vantas Dye> also makes any enemies 'lightheaded' in the most sexual of ways. It makes them willing to do more… risque actions. In a similar way, <Vantas Dye> can also be poured over the tops of walls to 'mark' enemies in its influence, although it is not a recommended action in the depths of night.

Special Rule: Racial 'Lore' Control and Acquiring Races

Summary: Players who create a race/subrace control their lore

Whichever player created a race or hybrid controls the 'lore' for that race. They decide if they're allergic to honey or if aphrodisiacs have an opposite effect, etc. The controlling player should be turned to for any questions about what that race is capable of and etc. They have the 'final say', lore-wise.

If you want to apply different lore for a race, it is acceptable to use 'Create Hybrid' to create your own which you control. The new subrace/hybrid can have as much of the old lore as you want, but you now have the 'final say' about how and what they can do.

Similarly, if a race's civilization is taken over/controlled by another player completely, that player controls the races of the old civ and can determine their lore. Split-conquered civs will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.

What this is is a player still under protection. If 21 days pass, counting from the time of their last post, they will lose protection and be conquered entirely. Due to the lack of canon, I'll probably represent this as the Queen losing control and the Horde dispersing. At that point, you will be able to take control of the Durgans as if they were your own race. I'd give you dibs since you're the only one to interact with them.

This all assumes that Greenskin isn't typing up a 10k masterpiece that will make our genitalia spontaneously combust.

>Action: Discover Commodity <Creamfruit>

>Origin: Nightspire

>Cost: 8 points

Creamfruit were first harvested as a small, spherical oddities several centuries before. Originating from one of the farthest provinces of the Dominion, its soft texture is marked with a distinctly dairy like taste, hence its name. When the consumers realized it allowed them to produce slightly more ejaculate (of both genders), it became a Tyran delicacy.

Over the years, the fruit is nearly unrecognizable. Cultivated, shaped, and modified with both mundane and magical assistance, the current product is practically a staple food. Acres of farmland are devoted to harvesting the long, bulbous fruits. The Tyrans eat it themselves, of course, but they mostly use it to fill out their slaves' diet. It's nutritious and filling, and just so happens to make the orgasms of their thralls impressive in quantity. More cum means more Will expended, after all, so the faster and more readily they empty themselves, the quicker they can be drained.

The newly risen population of Nightspire requires more nourishment, so old fields that have long sat fallow are brought back with the plow. Preolt taste-testers seem rather pleased with the consistency, not even noticing their lithe bodies filling with seed.

Oh wow Growth a fruit that makes you cum buckets way to branch out a bit

>Sybil's Spiders are small horde of giant spiders under her psychic control. Some of them have paralytic venom they can use to incapacitate foes. Others can spray thick webs, enhanced by the nutritiously mutagenic effects of a creamfruit-enhanced diet, capable of imprisoning a dozen men at a time. Others still could jump great distances, hurtling over shield walls to strike at the vulnerable rear of an approaching formation. Not to mention their application in a sneak attack, as the movements of a spider are deathly silent. Their bodies are clad in Paranpickian Cleytine, a fabric that is tough to breach but thin enough to not impair movement.

Have a 3.25k long story, which includes the introduction of our heroes Martin and Elisa av Sverdklydige, prettiest Paladins in all the land. Also features elves, though no lewd for Elisa yet, and it's extremely unlikely there will be until she gets captured by some bully. Admittedly the focus is not on the actual raising an army bit, but [Armies of the Order] is just supposed to represent the general iron-clad zealous crusaders that the Order has in no short supplies, without any sort of Hero. Paladins are gonna be assumed to be grouped in small amounts with hero units, e.g. [Elisa av Sverdklydige] as a unit can be assumed to be a group of elite Paladins with Elisa at the helm.

Once settled in, the Ko’Kne established council set about addressing their newest issue: Now that they had the city, where was the exit? In their haste to settle, none had bothered to find they city’s entrance to the surface, if it even existed. It seemed until one could be found, they would have to rely on Dia’kne for any business above ground. Which meant returning to the rival tribes. Dang, that's almost exactly where I wanted to put my WIP civ.

Well, I had two or three alts in mind so that's no real problem anyway. Guess I'll pop in now, rather than waiting till I finish my R4P write-up.

Civ Name: The Commonwealth of lovers

First Race: The children of the pond(Snail "girls")

First Town: Lake Village

Town Type: Village

Government: Tribal

First Advantage: [Unit: The Silent Scholars]

First Commodity Spring: <Putty Clay>

Brief Summary: These slimy creatures initially emerged from a pond not far from a human village, later fleeing ahead of a genocide attempt by the village and finding a small mountain-fed lake to supply their needed moisture.

While their lives are typically twice that of a human's, their fertility is poor. Their numbers have slowly grown despite very aggressive procreation efforts. Each of them will typically mate three to seven times a day, or six to fourteen if one counts each encounter twice based on the fact that each of them is a natural hermaphrodite, and attempts to both impregnate and be impregnated each time.

They are a relatively young civilization that respects both achievement and wisdom. They have been learned to do things like build homes and handle fire from humans, mostly through the efforts of a dedicated group of human-watchers who take note of human behaviors. The children of the pond welcome any human "brothers" that seek to visit or live with them, openly sharing thier slimy and very affectionate hospitality. Most human residents are outcasts or are otherwise using the village as a hiding place, though some curious (or lonley) visitors come to see if the rumors about their mating habits are true.

>Irontown gains Coal Mine (Dis: Wrecked Entrances)

By the time Shor's light faded from the sky on the day of the battle, the war was over, never to be resumed. While the levy fought the main bulk of the Vaqui forces on the border, the Firewatch marched out in secret to strike at their home. What they found was a town undefended, the barbarians not being so wise as to leave a contingent for their defense, and the Ironborn took all within after encountering only token resistance.

No peace agreement was made, for there was no Vaqui tribe to surrender with honor. Instead, they were taken as slaves, men and women and children alike, an entire tribe in iron chains. Those warriors who resisted were killed outright or beaten into submission and held to be publically burned later, an example to others who might resist. A similar punishment awaited those men who had wrecked the entrances to the coal mine, though the timely arrival of a Master Smith put paid to the attempt to light a fire inside which would ruin it forever. Given time to clear the way, the mine will produce again, its bounty put to far better use in Ironborn forges.

For his valor in battle, Nemo was granted significant spoils from the village in both money and slaves. Choosing two docile girls, he bought a house in Irontown suitable for a small family, saving the rest on credit for future purposes.

>Route: Ko'kne -> Dia'kne

>With the font of emeralds more or less secured it was time to ‘build relations’ between the two cities by setting up an official lane of trade for the merchant castes of Dia’kne and Ko’kne. It was agreed that emeralds or the megabeasts could be exchanged for the essentials of fire powder, and iron. While Iron eaters would certainly help with the labor caste moving goods around, the megabeasts already filled that role and anything smaller wouldn’t find much of a market in Ko’kne. The under-road was long, and thus the first architects of the labor caste had set up resting points all along the road: inns and lamplighters, keeping the travelers a place to eat and rest, and keeping the roads illuminated burning animal fat in the lamps that dotted the cavern walls. The structural integrity was sound, carved out of the rock. Not as good as the Precursors mind, but still a decent job. Not bad for a civilization, whose biggest achievement in engineering a scant few years ago was tents of hide and wood. Time would tell how well this would turn out for the twin cities.

Eh I'm too tired to be angry.

>Better than they feared, worse than they hoped. Traffic increased as wealth flowed between the cities. And with wealth it attracted parasites. Brigands, and bandits set up camps in the more isolated sections of the road, hiding in the pocketed cavers that dotted the walls, striking lone merchants and lightly guarded caravans before disappearing into the dark network of the caves. The Red Banner Army was called to clear out the roads, but that meant trade would have to stop until the road was declared clear once more.

I swear if this gets a one this time…

>The tunnels were cleared, and the caravans were free to run the tunnels again. Once again, after much debate, arguing, and agreements, the cities agreed to try and reopen the trade routes. With Explosive powder closing off the larger caverns, and regular patrols by the Red Banner Army, things were looking far safer than they were before. And good thing too. Ko’kne was filling with Blood Emeralds with nowhere to put them, and running low on female slaves for the very, VERY frustrated male Dian’dre population. So a gratified city was more than happy to sell the first of what they hoped to be many shipments to Dia’kne at reduced price, anything to profit off the mining operations that were slowing to a halt as each guild ran out of space to store their mined crystals. In return, Dia’kne promised to send a fresh supply of women captured from the raids on the human cities and durgan camps to Ko’kne. With hope, nothing bad would happen this time.

Dia'kne was grateful for the much coveted shipments of blood emeralds and the males of Ko'kne spent many a happy day in the Pleasure Towers with their new bedwarmers.
