Does anybody else enjoy the idea of prostituting themselves for ERP?
I don't mean playing as a character who is a prostitute, but playing with people in return for some kind of payment - not real money, but MMO currency, or TF2 items, or suchlike.
I'm sure we're all aware of the old stereotype of people whoring themselves out for WoW gold, but I'm more interested in the feeling of being bought/bribed rather than the aim of getting the reward itself. I almost managed to set this up with somebody once, where he was going to give me TF2 metal in return for ERP, just as a token gesture because we both liked the idea, but it fell through.
Does anybody understand what I'm talking about, or is this just me?

I don't know that it's 100% what you mean, but lots of people do this in FFXIV, actually. There was a post about it on the /vg/ general a while back where someone listed their prices; they were apparently able to charge 2+ million gil for a 'night' and had several regular, reliable customers per day. For reference, the absolute highest tier crafting materials in FFXIV at the moment sell for about a hundred thousand gil each, so you can see the absurd amount of profit they were making there.
Also, probably a little closer to what you meant, there was a burgeoning market for this sort of thing on Steam a while ago back when hats first got introduced to TF2, before Valve shut them all down. Steam groups like the 'Gensokyo Whorehouse', where people would pretend to be Touhou characters and ERP with you in exchange for hats or metal.
The funny part is I'm pretty sure they were all, well… Bad. People still played with them, but from what I heard that group at least were very lazy, uninteresting roleplayers who basically didn't even bother to portray the characters correctly, which I'd think was the entire appeal of something like that.
If you were actually any good at that sort of thing, I don't see any reason whatsoever why you wouldn't be able to get a little meta-prostitution action going. Maybe you could charge people to pretend to be their OOC waifu and let them give you a nice hard dicking, or something?

That's actually a very hot idea! And yes, you can totally do that sort of thing in FFXIV. Picture related, this skimpy little red-miniskirt ensemble is the Miqo'te (read: catgirl) starting gear, and there's quite a stigma about Miqo'te females in general. It's gotten a bit better now that the Au Ra (read: dragon-people) race has been added since a lot of the terrible ditzy sluts have changed race to that, but it's still around.
If you're looking to make it SUPER OBVIOUS what you are, you could make a character and then just keep her at level one. Don't do any quests, don't level up any Disciple of War/Magic (aka combat) classes whatsoever. (Or, alternately, if you're into a bit of a misogynistic twist: Get a combat class to level 10 to unlock the crafting classes, then become a Weaver or Cook and play as a level 1 character who is one of those exclusively.) The key is, stay at level 1.
The key thing about this game is that there is equipment which is just considered fun cosmetic stuff; it gives no stats and they generally use it for holiday event stuff, like last Valentine's Day you could get a dyeable maid outfit, or a super-skimpy little kimono. There's even a 100% unironic bunnygirl outfit with ears and fishnets available from Gold Saucer.
Anyway! Right now there's a super endgame piece of cosmetic gear that costs literally millions upon millions of gil; the Thavnairian Bustier. It's the skimpy little blue harem-attire piece up there. You can dye it, if you want.
That thing costs an absolute fortune; about 50 million gil, more than an entire in-game house - but there are PLENTY of people in FFXIV who are literally capped out on money and can not only easily afford it but actually have nothing else left to spend their money on. But, there's absolutely no way anyone who hasn't been playing for absolutely years could ever afford to buy or make that thing. You see where I'm going with this?
Persuade someone to dress your cute little level 1 character up in that thing, and everyone's going to know exactly what kind of woman you are straight away. The game doesn't even punish people for ERPing, as long as they do it through private chat.
So, if you wanted to have the chance of your fifty-million-gil-dress wearing level 1 character being discovered /sitting in a dark alleyway (or even a crowded tavern?) with that max-level sugardaddy she's always following around just standing there with his crotch in her face, it's going to be immediately obvious to everyone EXACLY what your relationship is - but there's no risk of getting banned or anything for it at all.

That would be Balmung, a US server. You can get in, but you need to make a character when there are as few people playing as possible, so normally just after maintenance ends.
Apparently Phoenix is also the same but on the EU datacenter (as it's one of the most populated servers in the game), although I personally have never really seen any signs of ERP there so they must be a lot better at being discreet about it than the Balmung crowd.

It's just been flat prices for sessions, rather than an hourly rate or anything…I feel that kind of works better since it's all been around semi-para, I type a little slow…and i'm not doing it as an alternative to actually using professions and the market board.
I got a 50k first time, lasted about an hour I think, then a 150k with another person for a couple of hours. I was told 100k is about right for a session. I guess I'll get a better feel for it at time goes on.

As much ss I want to get into newer MMOs like FFXIV and Archeage, they lacked something I really enjoyed from older MMOs: Vibrancy.
To explain: race selection tends to be limited and are usually humans, humans with long ears, humans with cat ears, and lolis. Compare that to the Tauren from WoW and a third of the races in Everquest 2. A smaller gripe goes to weapons. Why is it that games see fit to bind your class to a single weapon? What happened to being trained in weapon classes?
Second, the world you play in. By WotLK, you could go to any environment found on Earth. It was damn fun just exploring and finding things like rare enemies, dungeons, and even raids. The lack of a fast travel system made the world seem huge, and you would encounter a vast array of monsters along the way. Which has led me to porn of harpies, nagas, ogres, silithid, iskaar, ratfolk, and many other species
