since this is a discord-related thread im just gonna ask. how do y'all go about rping there? do you make a separate discord for erp and irl? do people go the hub profile route and play multiple characters on one account, or make one for each character? is there a /me function?

I made a separate account and went through some shenanigans to be able to run two desktop clients, and since I like playing a variety of genders/kinks/canons I just set up my character on a partner-by-partner or server-by-server basis. There is /me, but all it does is italicize the whole post since there's no colon to get rid of in the first place. Overall the experience is pretty middling, but I like the fact that it's all the ease and UI of a typical chatroom without guesswork and scheduling issues. Mostly.

I have the one account. I advertise my f-list profiles in servers where people use f-list and in servers where people don't use f-list I just list kinks and stories I am interested in playing. I'm flexible and on discord I often end up making new characters for each long-term play.

Discord does have a /me function but it's easier to not bother with it.

In public servers I always post OOC and keep my RP stuff to DMs/private servers where IC is obvious.
