I made a thread like this a long while ago with a setting called [The Community] which involved a secure facility where hedonism and dominance were valued. There were essentially four castes, determined initially by an "interview" that started with a session of groping. People on the submissive end of the system are essentially detained inside the facility, unable to leave unless they're somehow able to climb rank and be seen as trustworthy enough to keep secret what happens inside.

Dragons were the highest class, made of people who show strong dominant tendencies. It's rare for someone to be given the rank from the interview, most rise to this status through proving their ability to dominate and manipulate over time.

Devils are the "weaker" level of dominants. For the most part they're on the same level as dragons, but in disagreements between a devil and dragon it's understood that the dragon will typically have their way in the end.

Sluts Are submissives that are easy to control and lead, and are at least accept the practice of frequent casual sex. They're given some autonomy, and unless they're personally adopted and given their own quarters, they're left to freely roam the [Meeting hall].

Slaves Are the lowest tier. They refuse to participate in the fornication, or otherwise reject the culture of [The community]. They're restrained in the [Meeting hall] to helplessly wait for someone to use them. If they start to submit willingly, they may climb to the rank of slut, but otherwise they're treated like objects for D rank persons to use and abuse to their liking.

Sealed Dragons Were an idea I had, but never mentioned. Essentially anyone who would be dangerous to [The Community] fell into this class. Examples are people who would betray the oath of secrecy, or someone who was extremely difficult to detain during the "interview."

The idea was basically the orgy room, but more firmly rooted in a fleshed out BDSM setting and also sort of being a starting point for possibly long-term RP.

Definitely sounds like an interesting and fun idea, with the only real issue with it being that it might exclude people with more vanilla tastes. Even if you were to play two Devils in a simple scene with them both pretty much on equal footing, there would still be that unavoidable dark undertone to the whole thing where rape and depravity are acceptable.

Still, it could certainly be worth trying again. Did you note anything in particular last time that slowed down interest at all?

It never really got rolling to begin with. I was two of four characters playing in the thread, and both partners just stopped replying.

But relative to what we're familiar with, BDSM is kind of French vanilla. It has a little flair, but it's still pretty vanilla.

But, we could always try to get it up again between us. If others see us posting, maybe there's a chance they'll join in too.

Perhaps we should brainstorm more details before starting up too? Would there be any limits on what can and can't be done in the thread?

Hmm, maybe no guro/filth? Really the main concern would be to keep the thread appealing to lurkers to entice them to join. I also intended to have a loose link between venue and setting, where RP in the thread generally takes place in the [Meeting Hall] while if you decide to switch to email you roleplay the characters travelling to one of the private rooms.

In most cases cutting someone open in the middle of where everyone mingles would be pretty rude for example.

Man, if I had the time or the location, I have a couple of settings I'd love to have a group to lewd with in. Problem being, I can't ERP in groups unless I'm DMing, because otherwise I get massive pangs of jealousy and feeling left out. It certainly doesn't help that I'm a bit of a furfag as well.

There's always spoilers for people to express an interest in more extreme things, should they feel the need to use it.

There are other possible settings like a simple brothel too (or perhaps rather, some kind of magical brothel) so it can appeal to all sorts and potentially invite people to maybe make requests, if they like?

There's always a danger with some settings of being too narrow. And you don't even have to be very narrow to be too narrow, in some cases. For example, though your settings sound interesting, with something like the orgy thread, it might mean magical beings would be outside of the setting, unless they're using runes or Godly powers. I suppose you could always say that vampires were created by some specific god though, as an example.

Not the anon you're replying to, but I kind of interpreted the classes as a way of quickly tagging yourself, so to speak. A way of indicating the kind of role you want to play and the roles you're looking for. You could avoid the dom/sub dynamic altogether by saying you're a devil looking for a devil, for example.

To be fair, there isn't all that much played on the board itself anyway. And I'm not sure about the other threads, but I've seen a decent amount of rape stuff in the orgy thread least.

It's incredibly unpredictable and hard to control, honestly. It just seems like I 'waifu' another player's character and end up feeling NTR'd despite no connection being made. More than once I've torn apart a group due to it, so I;ve resigned myself to forever-DM. It's not so bad in lewd, it's just… bleh.

The setup of Fapbait as a whole is basically 100% consensual, since it's about *insert your favorite vidya/animu/etc. slut here* either giving JOI or outright ERPing with one or more anonymous partners, so yeah, while it can get kinky per se, it's not going to get into noncon territory.

When it comes to choosing a setting, I think the choice might actually be very important. If it's not something accessible and flexible, I can see a lot of people not being interested at all. But at the same time, it needs to be able to sort potential world-building, even if said is really just one building.

It's also very hard to build the lore in any way that everyone would be happy with. I feel like the best you can really do is have the lore revolve around the presence of characters at any one time, so if you have someone who hangs around a lot, that plays into it. They become a recognisable figure both to players and characters.

Sorry I didn't explain clearly. In my first post I meant I won't be playing because this setting implies rape. I only play consensual BDSM, which is understandably uncommon in the fapbait thread and hard to find in general. There were a few rape starters in the orgy one, but unfortunately that's not for me.

Sounds cool. I tend to play feisty, strong characters in very subby position, so I'd be a huge fan of sealed dragons. I support this.

Yeah, [The Community] As I've come up with it is pretty rapey. While there is potential for more consensual pairings, Such as a Devil and a Slut, it does have a strong nonconsent thread.

There could be an alternate version that's less dominance-focused, for example the thread's setting could be the city square in a culture that just happens to be hedonistic. Slaves bound in the square for the public to use could still be a thing, but they'd actually be criminals of some kind to end up there. (Perhaps they do that instead of having prisons and it's considered community service.)

The caste system is part of the dominace thread so it could just go. Alternately it could be something like Royals and Nobles who have a lot of sway over the common folk.

Course the above could be both feudal and near-future. Perhaps Basic income passed and didn't work out that well for the public. Like, maybe restrictions on employers drastically reduce or evaporate, since in theory nobody needs a job to live, only they do because the government is just "minting" digital currency from nothing to give to everyone and causing hyperinflation.

But it kind of depends on what will grab more people. If more people like the rapey underground city than want the more consensual city square, It'd be better to go with the first idea.

In the interests of actually getting something done and not letting this thread die, I'm going to detail one of my own ideas a little more and then perhaps we should put it to a vote or something, unless anyone has any more ideas to add.

Basically, it might be something of a cop-out to some extent, but I thought it might be best to create a setting that can fit almost any kind of scene whilst still having its own story, so to speak.

And to this end, I would suggest a brothel, in a magical setting, If we accept that the brothel has been there for many hundreds of years and will still be there long into the future, it allows for scenes from all sorts of time periods that could all contribute to the history of the brothel without causing any kind of contradictions. Players could present themselves as whores for others to respond to and there's no reason why a player couldn't be someone making requests for specific whores as well, asking for body or personality types in particular. There's no reason why the brothel couldn't have a bar as well, for players who wish to do a scene with no whoring at all. Perhaps there's some shady business going on at some times too, with the current owner of the brothel kidnapping girls and forcing them into prostitution.

For the most part, the setting is kind of a blank canvas that's waiting for people to paint it in with scenes. A basic structure/layout to the building and perhaps staff might be fun to brainstorm, but it's open to interpretation to a large extent.

Then it's time to condense each suggestion into a summary, and then ideally give each a name and put it in a strawpoll.

Make it a check all that apply poll, not a choose one.

Here's an example:

The Community: A hidden BDSM-driven city with a caste system based on dominance and hedonism.

The other ideas should be firmed up and condensed before the poll launces though.
