Yeah, I figured that even with a decent sounding faux-female voice it would be obvious something's up if the voice doesn't come out sounding smooth.

I'm nervous about the possibility of exposing myself as male to some people I've been posing as female to for a while now, which is part of what has kept me from trying anything out so far. But it's something I'd like to be able to do, if doing it didn't risk blowing my cover. That said, it's something I'd also do with people who actually know I'm male, if they're interested and could manage enough willing suspension of disbelief or just don't care if I've got a dick as long as I don't sound the part. It's not quite the same, but I think it could be fun too.

I tried ScreamingBee once upon a time and it wasn't completely awful.

You got it.

But working voice morphers can be bought or otherwise acquired. They may not be perfect, but they can, for the most part, obfuscate or blur the transition to a female personality. It's what you do with what you have that truly counts.

As somebody who's been down the road you're on, stop it before it gets even worse. You not being allowed to be you to your friends because of a reason as shallow as wanting to be liked more will impact you emotionally and it'll only get worse and worse. You might tell yourself it's for their sake or that you want to be treated like a girl but in time you'll realise how stupid that is. It's never too early, it's always too late.

Software will always have breaking issues. I had perfect settings and mannerisms, and have been caught because they will stop working while the mic is on, or they will hear something in the background that makes it obvious.

If you want it to work, get hardware instead.

It is possible. I played World of Warcraft and for about 3 years we had a 'girl' in my guild who talked and everything. Had everybody convinced.

After 'she' quit the player came out about being a guy the whole time and using a voice mod. Nobody had a clue until that moment.

I'm not sure what program the person used since he vanished soon after (as expected) but it was extremely convincing.

As someone who posed as a girl for a few years longer than that person did, I was extremely jealous of the voice program.

I did it for a while a few years back more public cyber sites/progams with a bunch of randos. It was fun. I'm not sure how many played along, though got quite a few guys to go on cam. My favorite game was trying to see how many guys I could get to cum in a day. I think my best was like 4.

Eventually I tried to be upfront, but that didn't work nearly as well as just pretending from the beginning.
