And just advertise this place over there if you want. Most people complain /tg/s don't like CYOAs very much, while we are a board specifically *for* them. This could attract people.

Everyone who makes CYOAs must include an "8chan presents" symbol and crosspost it on 4chan.

I like the super-chill nature of this board, by the way. Feel free to advertise it where you want but I think this place will always be pretty niché. Without also being connected to other topics you won't get lasting traffic.

It's like making a setting thread on /tg/: You get a bunch of people, they are enthusiastic about it and write a bunch of lore… but in 90% of the cases, when you make it its own thing/board/github project/whatever outside of /tg/, it falls apart after a week.

The CYOA OP posted is really good. It's a pity it didn't got it's own thread.

Since I have seen it Yesterday I couldn't get it out of my head and by now I have a complete Pantheon with an increasingly detailed mythology. This really got me started.

What this anon says is a good idea. We should establish our presence as soon as possible, then wait for the next big event that finally kills 4chan.

Does anyone remember the great exodus that followed the fappening in 2014? That's what got many of the 8chan userbase involved. We need to wait for an event like that, because let's face it, it's pretty much inevitable, then flood the boards with our content and draw them here.

4channer here, I would love to look at your board and spend my time enjoying cyoas. My only problem is the lack of posts that are made (I can still see threads that were formed in 2014) though that might change soon.

In fact it may be a good idea to allow PDF for /cyoa/ some of the bigger CYOA 's have been compiled into pdf's.

If you intend to make this the no1 place to go to for CYOA' s it really should allow PDF's.

Oikeus - Terrestrial Goddess, "Divine Retribution" Embodied

A "non-worship" terrestrial goddess, as she is. Rather than bestowing her minor aspects upon followers, she maintains the power for herself. And what for, you might ask? The answer is in the two most important minor aspects:

-Cunning

-Justice

Oikeus is what one might call "divine retribution", but embodied in an actual living deity. Her purpose, in the world, is to bring righteous vengeance upon those mortals (and, perhaps, other god/esses) who would otherwise escape justice. Rich men who bribe their way out of prison and punishment, murderous and rapacious bandits that manage to escape the authorities, powerful men who never have their crimes reported at all… Oikeus slips in under the moonlight, and delivers "divine retribution" upon all of them.

It is said, in hushed whispers throughout the land, that if ye feel that proper justice has not been served after ye have been wronged, offer up thy blood under the moonlight, and ask for rectification from Oikeus. If the Lady of Justice feels thy cause is righteous, then she shall see punishment delivered upon those who have escaped it.

(I dunno, I thought it was cool!)

/cyoa/ has been listed in the sticky under "Useful boards" as a directory of potential quest ideas for a long time now.

/tg/ had a storage drive of their CYOA collection stashed away somewhere, I don't have the link, so if you can get it I will add it to the sticky. Apart from that I have no other ideas how I could interest people in using CYOA material.

Of course if you (or anyone else from here) decides to be the first one to start a CYOA quest on the new board (we had some on /qu/ but not yet on /quests/) then it would likely help both of us.
