I only use it on my pubic triangle and arm pits. It does work in combination with shaving. Before trying IPL if I shaved my I would always break out horribly and get ingrown hairs but now I can shave several times a week with no issues. The IPL zaps everything and I get no ingrown hairs at all or red bumps. It doesn't totally get rid of hair but using it a couple times a week for a six months I have very little hair at all where I use it. What is left I can shave smooth. It doesn't hurt unless you hit the same area twice in a row then it can burn a bit. Also it can't be used on dark skin. This model has a built in sensor that adjusts the power of the flash based on the color of the skin where you are using it. If skin is too dark it won't flash at all, for instance my scrotum.

I think the proper ones are expensive as fuck so anything that ain't an absolute wallet enptier is probably bullshit.

I've been wondering about these. Thinking about getting one to replace the need to shave every week and hopefully reduce the hair to almost nothing after a while. My main questions are whether they're safe on sensitive areas like the scrotum and butthole areas and the nipples and whether or not I should get a mid-range $250-ish USD model or save up and get one of the higher end $400+ models or of there's even enough of a difference to matter. Also I'm sure it hurts but how much does it hurt compared to, say, waxing?
