I was going to get a computer science degree but all the calc classes physically, mentally, and emotionally are not good for me. Even the pre-calculus class I took made me so frustrated I hit myself on the head so hard it was sore for the rest of the week. Your dumb for hitting yourself only, please don't do it anon. Try to take things more slowly and introduce yourself a bit to the things you were having difficulty with at a pace you're comfortable with, don't give up. Also, i don't think you necessarily need a CS degree to get a programming job in many places, some time ago i think i heard something about many people behind the JS React framework not having a CS degree, for instance.

Considering the people that's targeting, i would recommend A LOT either swapping or putting aside the Rust book for a simpler language. I'm currently introducing and teaching my SO to programming through Python even though i hate most dynamically typed languages, mainly because he's not convinced enough in learning to actually get SICP and learn things from there, we've been having quite a bit of fun together.

Btw Floobits/Atom's teletype is pretty cool.

Such is life in the physics and astronomy department.

Maybe I should have taken more CS courses. The subject matter could only have helped me, and if there really are cuties there it might have given me a chance to meet someone. Too late now, though.
