I dunno, man, traps and trans are on this board a lot, as well as the "straight" people who fuck them.

I'm not sure how gay culture is any better from a conservative's point of view, honestly.

>>365061

Bowie dressed like a woman but he was no trans.

Now THIS is trans music.

Well here's my last.fm thingy from the collage generator. It's not perfect as last.fm only records song plays instead of time, so it's missing a good bit of black metal because all of those songs are super long. In regards to books now, the only one I'm actively reading is the Kali Kaula by Jan Fries. Have a long list of similar stuff to read from our friends at /fringe/, it's all rather in depth on yogic practice.

Some other favorite authors of mine-

>Patrick Rothfuss

>Matthew Stover

>Robert A. Heinlein

Kinda burned out on fiction at the moment though.

Any tips on how to improve it?

What do you read, or listen to, that contains queer themes, that you feel is superior?

>>365109

How is it so? Likewise, if you've got any suggestions for resources you prefer, say it

>>365117

He wasn't. And, it's not about that, but about stuff that has queer content and could appeal to the trans demographic.

Specifically, I mean Ziggy Stardust who has an ambiguous gender / sexuality (or none) and when he sings in other periods about girls liking him and not knowing whether he's a guy or a girl.

It's trans music, but it misses the point of providing access points to high culture. A lot of queer people's culture doesn't go beyond anime-manga, so it's for those who want more.

>>365121

Thanks, that was the only sensible reply so far.

>How is it so?

It is banal. Why would David Bowie automatically be more relevant to a transsexual than Pink Floyd, for example? It is a collection of art that was made by homosexuals or has (possibly) homosexual themes, literally nothing more.

Connie Island Baby is literally Lou Reed declaring his love for a transgender woman (his actual transgender girlfriend called Rachel) and closing with the words "this one's for Lou and Rachel, I swear I'd give it all up for you."

Hall, while a lesbian woman, basically presented as a guy a lot of the time.

Deerhunter's frontman crossdresses regularly and has talked about his feeling genderless, he also has a female alter ego

Roses of Versailles is a classic anime about a woman presenting as a man.

David Bowie notoriously crossdressed.

Velvet Underground / Lou Reed were close to Andy Warhol, who himself crossdressed and presented as female for art, and had a lot of transgender / trans-whatever people around him most famous of whom was Candy Darling to whom the Velvet Underground "Candy Says" and "Life on the Wild Side" is dedicated.

How do you figure this stuff is not relevant?

Antigone, which is about Divine vs. Regal Law (but truly about what one feels is right vs. what what is considered so at any given time in a given society)… "Money, the worst good to ever have been imposed on human kind legally".

Perhaps you'll learn one day the common sense ability to voice your opinions and make contributions without feeling the need for all that trash-talking.

Doors? I prefer the Stooges.

"I Wanna Be Your Dog" especially. Such a cool song, all the more for coming out in 196x.

Bowie and Reed are 2 of the most revered musicians of all time. They were hugely important for queer people.

The first or second halves of Low and Heroes (Berlin Trilogy) are pure avant-garde, Reed recorded a bunch of tape noise and sold it as a CD at the height of his fame because he was just that cool of a guy and didn't care about other people's opinions about his life / art.

>How do you figure this stuff is not relevant?

Because it is banal. It literally isn't even music.

>Antigone, which is about Divine vs. Regal Law (but truly about what one feels is right vs. what what is considered so at any given time in a given society)…

Yeah, thank you very much for this basic interpretation, but, having worked on the text back in high school four years ago and again two weeks ago at university, it is completely unnecessary for me. Btw, look up Hegel's interpretation, it's very interesting.

>"Money, the worst good to ever have been imposed on human kind legally".

I don't see why this wouldn't be arguable today, but I feel like I miss the context. Which scene is it from?

Creon says this, when he at first suspects the guards of the crime, it's right before the guard brings Antigone who confesses.

I find it sad you don't consider it music. Coney Island Baby is a really, really tender love letter, Berlin is a concept album about junkies in love, both albums have moments whose beauty, formal and in content, is on par with Antigone.

"Others would have broken off her arms"

I'm not saying that Berlin isn't music, I'm saying that Bowie dressing up isn't music.

>both albums have moments whose beauty, formal and in content, is on par with Antigone.

lol yeah ok

>Creon says this, when he at first suspects the guards of the crime, it's right before the guard brings Antigone who confesses.

I meant, which act and scene precisely, to reread it.
