I had an idea and was wondering if anyone else here would want to try it. Post 5 songs or albums you like and leave an email. Try to keep it at 5 or under so you actually think more about which ones you want to post.
I've realized recently that what type of music a person listens to says a lot more about them than I ever realized before. So now I'm thinking maybe meeting people based solely on what kind of music they like could be a neat idea to try. Even if you don't listen a lot of music, you should post what you do like!

I like so many bands it's hard to narrow down to just 5, but here's a random sample of what I've been listening to recently:
https://youtu.be/ZWrUEsVrdSU Atoms for Peace - Before Your Very Eyes. It's a super group of Thom Yorke (Radiohead), Flea (RHCP) and other cool people
https://www.youtu.be/Wabrnt1MVVQ Neutral Milk Hotel - In The Aeroplane Over The Sea (Album). Pretty influential indie band, takes a couple of listens to get into it, imo, but great anyway
https://youtu.be/vKPFm0OJrLI Moon Hooch - 5-Sax Piece. They treat brass instruments like synths and it's amazing (watch their NPR tiny desk concert to watch them in action https://youtu.be/wwBhxBBa7tE)
https://youtu.be/wKNGL3ab-3k Bjork - Medulla. An a capella album of a somewhat unaccessable artist, but I absolutely love it

And while I love metal, not a big fan of black metal. Just don't like the growling Only band I really like that does that is Debautchery and it's really suiting to songs about Khorne. But I might look into Opeth a bit more more. Love the satanic church metal music stuff though Can't think of a better term

Same, I used to be into it in highschool but it was pretty much a phase, Opeth stuck though probably because of their variance. if you wanna give opeth a try listen to all of "ghosts of perdition", if you like any part of it they've basically got an entire album in whatever part or style you like. The song really goes from black metal growling to acoustic humming to classic rock laced with light metal and back around again. If you don't like it then they're probably not for you. I'm checking out your bands as I write this, powerwolf actually seem good tbh

This was SUPER tough to do, describing my music tastes in just five is damn near impossible cus my taste is so broad. I gave it a shot tho:

https://youtu.be/FwI_4qHpt1o -[Untitled]- Neutral Milk Hotel, this song made ==BAGPIPES== sound amazing, and that's amazing.
https://youtu.be/_EXS2ODlXyI -Loving U- Atlas, This guy's has so many good songs it's hard to narrow down just one, but if you're a fan of lofi rap/hip hop, I suggest you follow this man on soundcloud.
https://youtu.be/oiPA4U8HU8M- Ain't Nobody Like You- Yung Bae, everything that I said about atlas applies to this man as well, but for future funk, plus he's super cute. I'd recommend listening to Anibae first just because it's his most consistent album and shows his range.
https://youtu.be/g-cjpOWyjcU- As I Am- Logic, he's bae and I'm still struggling to find a rapper who's even close to being fluid as he is. I've never needed Cinco de Mayo to get here faster than I do now.
https://youtu.be/2NalThWdU3M- Space Lion- Cowboy Bebop, not even close to my favorite song from the show and I'm sure you weebs don't need me to explain anything about this shows OST…but it's amazing, and it's not even necessarily amazing stand alone, but EVERY song manages to fit its mood perfectly so much so that I can probably rewatch the whole show just by listening to the soundtrack in order and recalling what happens in each scene.

Such great taste! Are you trying to make me fall in love with it? c:
I'm a huge music nerd myself and I enjoy lots of different stuff, but am a lot into drone, ambient and various other experimental stuffs and hnoise as of late. Really enjoying Toshimaru Nakamura and Agata. As to hardcore/emo stuff you posted - I'm not into it, I mean - I do enjoy it a lot and stuff you posted is really great, but I never really delved deeper into it. Maybe you can show me around ^^
Dunno, just some -core stuff I enjoyed that I think fits into this kind of genre (or not?), pretty entry level I think, especially compared to yours. Yeah, but not really emo or screamo, but I know there is a lot of great bands out there.

Lol I love seeing the damn thing, more stickers pop up every time I see it, so many that he (or she) has to actually start putting the stickers on the sides. But no worries, it's not like sticker on top of sticker, they're all reasonably distanced. Good tastes by the way.

I can dig some of it. But I can't get over the overused male voice with the pitch toned down and the tracks slowed ever so little to simulate the music being on drugs or something. It's the sign of a failing era of music I'm afraid, and tricking the audience into thinking they're actually hearing extra bass or treble by mixing the levels as high as they can go and marking it off as Sound Quality. Take your soul sisters, the black soul singers being revived in modern pop and alternative songs, the coffee sipping college student hipster voice that smokes whenever he's getting his picture taken but never anytime else, the "i'm not like the other girls" voice, the wildin' out gangster from the streets, the transatlantic accents…that motherly voice for kitchen products and towels, and the fatherly kids toy announcers… I'm sorry Anon…
