I used my experience in psychiatric and clinical research on the very topic of child abuse, which is a highly controversial issue in the movement, in order to explain that PEDOPHILES are not PEDERASTS and viceversa.
The idea was not not "normalize pedophilia", but to explain that what most of the movement calls "pedophilia" is actually "pederasty" and "child exploitation" and not "pedophilia", and this was not an opinion -which mind me, would have been protected by the 1st amendment- but a fact proven by several clinical studies on convicted pederasts and control groups.
I also spend hundreds of hours both in therapy and researching with a PAEDO-PSYCHIATRIST who works as a JURY in cases of CHILD ABUSE in Mexico, precisely trying to understand the phenomenon.
I presented my opinion with clear arguments, precisely because the word "pedophile" was being throwing around against another anon, for a non-issue, and it was being used as a derogative term which elicited several vicious and violent responses.
I advocated in his regard in order to dismistify the taboo of the word "pedophile" so we could stop chimping out at the sight of it, and to better understand that what we despise and want to eradicate from this world is "PEDERASTY" and "CHILD EXPLOITATION"
The topic is controversial precisely because it overlaps with a school of puritanical thought in which the human body is demonized by some protestants, whereas in the rest of the CIVILIZED WEST WORLD nudity and child sexuality (natural exploration of sexuality NOT PEDERASTY) are deemed natural, such as in Europe, where nudist beaches abound as well as resorts, where children spend the day nude among adults, and even have contest of beauty.
I argued we had to reconcile the beautiful nature of GOD's creations, its state of grace, with our need for justice with regards to the corruption and trampling thereof.
