I just rewatched the Director's Cut of the 2003 movie and I have to say…I actually enjoyed it way more than the TV series. The action, the props, the atmosphere, the locations, everything…it just seemed more Daredevil-ish to me. I still like the first 2/3 of the first season of Netflix DD quite a bit but I'm starting to think that the 2003 version may have been the superior product.

Suit was better, echolocation scenes were better, his brutal ways were better depicted.

TV series was better in fights, Matt as a character, general casting, locations etc. I do wish Netflix would add more than 2 villains per season then pad it with generic thugs.

Oh, and BLACKED Kingpin was one of the few race swaps that actually worked out really well.

That’s becasue swapping the character with a good actor is a proper touch and could work both ways, means you actually want to have someone that is good at his job even if it doesn’t fit he character and the overall result improve at the end
