Speaking of Hanks, the art for Wonder Woman was done by H.G. Peter. His work has a certain "Hanks-esq" quality. It's hard to describe. The art is more competent and stylish, but there's some aspect to it that feels off-putting and bizarre.

Now Wonder Woman could just bust in, destroy the gas, and stop the whole evil plan, but Steve Trevor could get hurt in the process. So she escapes, enlists the help of an all girl's school, and sends the crowd of man-hungry girls to invade Doctor Poison's secret base.
Wonder Woman makes Superman's outrageous problem solving look completely reasonable.
