Anyone else kind of excited to see what Warner Bros do with the next DCEU installment? Now that it's crashing and burning I think they're finally going to drop this Snyder 'muh serious tone' bullshit and just make some entertaining fun super hero movies. Warner Bros have confirmed they're not wasting money on a Snyder cut of JL and they're cancelling MoS2, sounds like they're starting to listen to the fans and we'll see a complete reboot with Batgirl. And given its written by Joss we're guaranteed it'll be loyal to the comics, even though he's a liberal faggot. I can handle a couple lines of poz if the overall movie is true to the comics and has cool moments for the characters. I know he kind of fucked up with Black Widow but he at least has a phenomenal track record overall.

Also I hope they get a cute petite girl to play her that would be awesome, beggars can't be choosers though

>Warner Bros have confirmed they're not wasting money on a Snyder cut of JL

>Implying it was the Snyder cut what killed JL and not Joss'

WB missing the point again tbh, they haven't learned shit.

But yes, their problem is to put one style on everything instead of having different directors for different properties.

>Implying it was the Snyder cut what killed JL and not Joss'

oh by no means am I implying a Snyder cut wouldn't have value, I'd torrent it just out of interest. But the decision not to spend tens of millions if not more on a Snyder cut is significant and a move in the right direction because it shows they're giving up on Snyder's vision for DCEU and moving in a more Marvel direction in terms of loyalty to comic book fans over brainless cinemagoers who just want two things hitting each other for two hours.

And I agree having two directors on Justice League ruined it, having Joss direct 100% of it definitely would have fixed this movie. There's no question about it. Snyder's unfinished mess needed reshoots which started a PR trainwreck with Superman's CGI face.

>cancelling MoS2

Cavill really needs that do-over though. If JL had the nerve to act like his Superman was anything but a mopey fuck, WB should at least give him a film of his own to actually convey that instead of dooming him to play second fiddle to other people.

>wanting a Batgirl movie that'll most likely be based on the DC You run with Joss Whedon involved

No.

 No.953956

>Excited about a Joss Whedon movie

I used to like the guy's material, but he's like Lucas at this point. He's so fucking amped up on how people love his "natural and witty dialogue" that he writes nothing but that, and ends up writing scripts that are like an SNL skit that goes on for 2 fucking hours. A slight plot to keep the same characters on screen while they try really hard to make you laugh by saying something funny. If anything, they should KEEP the "dark and gritty" mandate when they hire Whedon, and those two forces would maybe balance each other out. But even then, while Age of Ultron was terrible because it tried so hard to be funny and wasn't, the DC movies are bad because they just fail as movies in themselves. Plot structure, pacing, and thematic elements are a fucking mess. You see a vague attempt at including these things, but they never get successfully integrated. Of course, I have no idea why I bothered typing up this autistic rant because you're clearly a retard, as evidenced by you only hope for the movies being "Maybe a cute girl will be Batgirl."

I wanted to make a new thread, but this one seemz fair enough.

Apparently DC has a new president in charge of its films, from Variety: http://archive.is/nh9t7

>As part of a shake-up of its DC film operations, Warner Bros. is promoting Walter Hamada to oversee its comic book movies, Variety has learned. He will serve as president of DC-based film production. In December, the studio decided to replace Jon Berg and Geoff Johns as the heads of the DC movies. Berg became a production partner with Roy Lee, the producer of “The Lego Movie” and “It,” who has a deal on the lot.

>Johns remains at DC as a president and chief creative officer, but his portfolio doesn’t just involve film. He will continue to provide creative guidance into the company’s television and comic book efforts. In an official announcement of Hamada’s hire, Warner Bros. said Johns will “work closely” with the new production president.

>The move comes as DC is looking for more quality control of its big-screen efforts — the studio captured acclaim and box office bonanza with last summer’s “Wonder Woman,” but was savaged by critics for “Suicide Squad” and “Justice League.” There is widespread frustration over DC’s failure to match the popularity of Marvel movies.

>Hamada previously served for a decade as a production executive at New Line, a division of Warner Bros. There, he helped shepherd such horror hits as “It,” “The Gallows,” and “The Conjuring” to cinemas. The executive enjoys a close relationship with director James Wan, who is directing “Aquaman” for DC, and is credited with helping expand “The Conjuring” universe by making a well-received sequel to the movie, as well as spinoffs with the “Annabelle” series. He will be leaving New Line to work for Warners, and will also oversee any other types of comic book movies that the studio produces outside of the DC canon.

>Toby Emmerich, who was promoted in 2016 to president and chief content officer at Warner Bros., worked with Hamada at New Line, which he ran before moving over to the main studio.

>“Walter is creative, resourceful, and committed to excellence, and will bring those qualities to his oversight of our superhero films,” Emmerich said in a statement.

>Emmerich went on to add, “I’m confident Walter and Geoff, working with our filmmaking partners, will deliver films that will resonate with both broad global audiences as well as DC fanboys and fangirls.”

>Last summer, Warner Bros. named Courtenay Valenti, best known for her work on the Harry Potter films, as president of production at Warner Bros. She will continue in that role, as will DC Entertainment chief Diane Nelson.

>Before coming to New Line in 2007, Hamada spent four years as a partner in the management and production firm H2F Entertainment. He began his career as an assistant at TriStar and eventually became VP of production for Columbia Pictures. He also ran development for MBST Entertainment.

The only parts of the entire DC movies that I've actually watched was the one part in SupesvBats where Batman goes fucking nuclear and starts totally not killing mercenaries in some warehouse(which I admit is really nice eye candy compared to marvel's) and Pa Kent telling superman not to save him despite giving him around a minute or so that he could flash in, save pa kent and flash out.

I take it the movies are more the second part than the first?

Correction, you are not "paying for porn", like you're trying to get into some slimehole bitch's website. You are commissioning porn. You are going to a porn producer and saying "The amount of porn on this subject is lacking. Here's some money, make porn of what I want". Then they go off, use black magic or something, and come back with porn.

You get art to fap to and the pencil wizard can pay for another evening of drinking away their sorrows. It benefits everyone.

I'm "excited" in the same way that I get when my friends pick up some anime like Samurai Flamenco without realizing it turns absolutely batshit insane. The DCEU is failing miserably, and the suits in charge have absolutely no idea how to make it work, but they also refuse to let it die because they want a piece of that sweet sweet "cinematic universe" pie Marvel has. I'm "excited" to see what kind of insane fucking bullshit they're going to try pulling to save it, but I certainly don't expect anything decent to come of it.

>Implying MoS 2 couldn't be great

MoS was disliked because of Christopher Reeve fanboyism. Superman Returns got better reviews, even though it was bland, derivative and boring. MoS was pretty faithful to post-Crisis superman, and reimagined Krypton in a cool way, with flight/fight scenes also done pretty well.

>/co/ won't pay to make their dreams come true.

Look at these images. There is a man out there who said "I need images of my fetish to exist". Such was his desire, that he was willing to part with his hard earned money to make them reality. There was an aspect of this world he wanted changed and he had the will to make it happen. Through his efforts, there were drawings of rich women buying wonder bread where there were once none.

He is the caliber to which all men are judged. He wasn't content to merely dream! He ACTED, and made what he wanted come into BEING! Do not be satisfied with less, /co/! Follow his example!

You forget that the willingness to pay for a fetish is in direct proportion to how niche it is. The more niche the fetish, the more willing people are to pay for it. If you just want regular ol' big titties you can find a multitude of them on the internet for free. From there you narrow it to sex on camera, sex in a specific scenario and narrow it all the way down until you get a fetish that's even more niche that videos of a guy rubbing his dick against CRT monitors to get himself off.

Same goes for superhero porn. Regular superhero porn is not very difficult to find. Porn of Batgirl is feasible as well but from there you live or die by the grace of the art community. From there you can opt to either wait until someone makes porn of your preferred kind or pay someone to make it for you. For this particular fetish I'd say that art like it will eventually be made, but if you want to make it happen in the short term you gotta grab your wallet before you can grab your dick.
