It was okay back when it was a sprite animation, for what it was worth, but ever since Brawl taunts, Chris has become an insufferable faggot of a magnitude that cannot be described using any amount or combination of words of English or any other language on the planet and beyond.

His only redeeming quality is doing occasional editing work for TFS. His own products, including this reboot, are totally worthless garbage with shit animation, shit backgrounds, shit designs, shit writing, shit jokes, shit characters and shit everything. Even Arin is less of a lolcow than he is.

I remember enjoying it back in the day. Despite it being derivative, sprite-based schlock, there was a certain charm to it and it drew you in- it was from a simpler time when people showed their interests on their sleeves and were a bit less guarded.

Pains me to say that the reboot is pretty much crap, though possibly could be a stepping stone to something better (if Niosi could make his art a little less shit.)

How much of a lolcow is he, anyway? I knew he got himself into drama, but was never aware to the extent of it (though I knew he got himself in trouble with the Tumblr crowd for not denouncing Psyguy loudly enough.)

I somehow completely missed this guy on newgrounds with his sprite based stuff. But I did see his rebooted series. I thought it was fine for the low budget fanproject tier budget it was running on. And deemed it not complete shit. Rushed and shitty action scenes in what feels like it's trying to shoot for an action anime. I had already shit expectations only to discover it wasn't completely unwatchable.

Maybe that new RPG which better defines the mechanics and story will do better. Perhaps the more limited scope will let him focus better.

I've seen some increase in the appeal for old newgrounds flash series in normietube. Why?

But it brought me some nice memories of a 13yo me in 2009 and some of the shit I watched.

I remembered when I saw "Marble Hornets" and took me the whole first season to realize it was an internet series and not some real footage.

I also remember some shitty machinima, loved it, was a GTA SA one about some wacky police dept. and officers. I remember it had "Bad Boys" for an intro so it was the first one to get screwed during the first wave of copyright claims where they would mute your video.

All the old great (and some not so great but still entertaining) cartoonists from Newgrounds either stopped making cartoons, turned into massive faggots, have slowed way down in terms of putting out noteworthy stuff, began focusing on the let's play audience, disappeared entirely, or some combination of those.

Since pretty much nobody has stepped up to replace them it left a small void in a lot of people's internet experience which they're probably trying to fill with nostalgia trips.

Pretty high quality for online animation, still kind of shit but I liked it for a while.

Shadyvox's voice is great for VA'ing though.
