This stuff is great. I see Genndy is Kirby fan as well, he does seem to capture his sense composition, even he doesn't use in epic scale like Kirby did.
I also see this comic as a valid argument on why animators make great comic book artists. Everything just leaps from the page, and you feel every movement from walking, jumping, punching and emoting, like a very competent storyboard. The only other guy who made such distinctive-looking comics was Bruce Timm.

Might just be a Tarkovsky thing. Most of his animation work is stylized like this in an unappealing and obnoxious way. It looks fine as a still, but he is not that good of an animator or character designer.
