"El Incal" was a comic series released from 1980 to 1988, drawn by French artist Jean "Moebius" Giraud and written by Chilean artist Alejandro Jodorowsky, which if you don't know him, was the guy who was going to make the Dune movie until they thought he was too crazy for that shit so they called David Lynch instead. Essentially he is a classic liberal hippie that went high and never came back.
