Lee would be nothing without Kirby. Still RIP you greedy old fiend. Only thing that sickens me is all the people calling him the "creator of Marvel" and its greatest heroes for the last few years without even knowing who Kirby was. Hell I didn't like Kirby too much though I could still admire his work while giving credit where credit is due. The fact that Lee barely made an attempt to clarify this was disgraceful. Its like the drama Batman's creator drama all over again with no one giving a shit once again.
But regardless, I don't hate Lee, just his greed and I just wish he did more to criticize modern spidey comics. The ones I really hate are Disney and his abusers for making his last years so shit, yet people will still praise those corporate douches. Actually, they are. If Marvel goes under, then the entire comics industry goes under. They're half of the entire comics marketplace, losing them would be apocalyptic. Nobody wants that, not even DC.
The worse that would happen is that they'll be downsized, but that would be something that happens in the far distant future. Right now they're doing ok, taking 39.86% of the market share in September. Overshipped books aren't included in Diamond market share reports.

But just as a European nobleman can rise above his European sheep-like brethren, so can a Jew rise above his people's abhorrent behavior.
Even if you disagree with me and think Jews are always evil and a cancer on the world, you have to acknowledge, that even if they're wiped out, there will always be bad people.
The structure in the image is based on Confucian thought. Peasants and artisans in feudal Japan were essentially on the same rung, but Confucius thought of peasants as better because they produced food, which no one would be able to work without. Merchants are lowest because they produce nothing of their own. Well, the thing with manga is that it can be pretty diverse thanks to the much lower cost to produce them, especially virtually on the net. However, a lot of times, as Miyazaki rightfully complained about, a lot of manga or LNs or what have you are made by otaku that don't really know anything else besides anime, manga, video games, and doujins and fan subcultures and so on, so they end up writing the same kind of stories. They don't live enough, or they're at least not diverse enough in their hobbies, and they don't have the soul, so the works become too homogeneous, which in the context of stories, is terrible. IIRC, an LN contest even had to ban isekai stories, because they were getting way too many wish-fulfillment stories.
Then because anime costs more to produce, and because the studios making them are still businesses, they sell what they know works. There's no more "entrepreneurial spirit", or risk-taking. It's all money first.

Saw my local news channel talk about Lee's death and not once did they mention that he was a "co-creator" of so many iconic characters and said he was the creator instead which felt fucking infuriating to hear. Now more local normalfags are going to be misinformed about his actual role. At least they corrected stated he didn't create Cap America.
Lee's a bit of mixed bag, he took the credit for things he shouldn't have and never really tried to help his artists get more credit at the time. Then he (unintentionally) outlived his other co-creators and basically got the final word on those creations and how they came to be. Only in those later years did he start correcting interviewers that he was the co-creator and not the creator of those characters which you could see as better late than nothing.
Though it may not help much when those co-creators are dead and he's getting his face out there with cameos in Marvel movies/series while most normies will never know or recognize the face of Jack Kirby for example.

If what you said is true, I'm kinda torn between disliking Stan and considering him a victim of circumstance.
It seems to me that the (((company))) decided to use someone as the face of the capes, and they chose him, since his name was on most of them. It must have been incredible for Lee to experience something like that, and he kinda forgot his colleagues, and when he finally snapped out of it, They were dead or dying, leaving him to appoligise to dead men while Marvel kept using him as a mascot.
People will always remember Stan as The Man who created all the Marvel superheroes, although he didn't. In his life it was his curse to be reminded he hounded the glory of his dead colleagues, in his death he will inspire the next creators.

>Who is Wallace Wood
One of the most underrated comic book artists. He is the guy who came up with Dare Devil's full red-highlights-on-black costume and arguably revived the character. He is responsible for Power Girl's costume, and eventually adding boob window to it. Not to mention his great work in EC Comics. Wood also drew 22 panels that always work - something that most comic book artists in the U.S. seem to be ignore when drawing comics.
Wood is rarely mentioned among the greats for some reason. I suspect that his attitude towards the industry, his refusal to kiss Lee's ass, his Disney Memorial poster, and 'problematic' cheesecake and army comics might have something to do with it.
>why is he avenged?
Because of the following:
>Wood: I enjoyed working with Stan [Lee] on Daredevil but for one thing. I had to make up the whole story. He was being paid for writing, and I was being paid for drawing, but he didn't have any ideas. I'd go in for a plotting session, and we'd just stare at each other until I came up with a storyline. I felt like I was writing the book but not being paid for writing.
<Evanier: You did write one issue, as I recall–
>Wood: One yes [Daredevil #10]. I persuaded him to let me write one by myself since I was doing 99% of the writing already. I wrote it, handed it in, and he said it was hopeless. He said he'd have to rewrite it all and write the next issue himself. Well, I said I couldn't contribute to the storyline unless I got paid something for writing, and Stan said he'd look into it, but after that he only had inking for me. Bob Powell was suddenly penciling Daredevil.[Later on in the interview] … I saw [Daredevil #10] when it came out, and Stan had changed five words—less than an editor usually changes. I think that was the last straw.
Naturally, Wood was fucked out of most of his DD royalties by Lee and Marvel. Much like Kirby, except he committed suicide and did not leave any kids behind. His estate is now owned by some scummy shell corp.

It was moonlighting at DC and that's allegedly ratted on them. Stan found out about Jack and Joe's side-business and they hired him on as a gofer to keep his silence. When Martin Goodman found out and fired their asses, Jack believed that it was Lee who ratted on them, though there's really no evidence to prove it.
That was in 1941 and Lee was 18 at the time. Immediately after Jack and Joe left, Goodman immediately made Lee interim editor, a position he would hold until 1972.

The only movie they can milk after Infinity War Part 2 is Black Panther. Kang money can only last for so long though. Then there's the possibility of bringing in the X-men and Fantastic Four. The characters no one gives a shit about. Even Netflix cancelled 2 of it's shows with Jessica Jones and Daredevil barely scrapping by. The MCU is on it's last legs. Soon Disney will drop them.
