I agree with New52 Joker taking it a step too far, including his lore, but I liked certain things. Like when he said in "Death in the Family" that he sometimes sleeps under Gordon's bed and you think it's a joke. But then in Endgame, turns out he actually does that. I found that creepy and kinda funny. Also the twist that Joker disguised himself as an Arkham intern all the time was great. Didn't like his haircut though.
Regarding The Batman Who Laughs, that's a different character. But I wonder how the writers will even top the "Evil DCU vs Good DCU" scenario. You can't get a step further from there.
