Damn, I really liked his run with Denny O'Neil. He's one of the most underappreciated Bat artists IMO. Seriously, I get nothing but confused silence and abuse every time I mention him.

But he had this knack of making thing leap off the page, and a knack for knowing when to leave detail out, combing Neil Adams flow with Frank Miller simplicity. Still one of my favourite Batman artists, along with Marshall Rogers and Neil Adams. He was born to draw Batman, you know? Like Pierce Brosnan and James Bond.

I don't what it is about him that doesn't tickle fans. I guess he doesn't have the autistic over-wroughtness of Todd MacFarlane or the sublimated tween homoeroticism or Rob Liefeld, so his work doesn't press the money-shot area of the brain like they do.

But still some of the best layouts in comics, and hands-down one of the best swooshy cape artists of all time.

Breyfogle drew one of my favorite Batman stories, a short arc where he deals with Scarface/Ventriloquist's drug-running.

>He was 58.

Why the hell do so many comics professionals die younger than normal people? And how long do we have to wait for Fags Vissagio and Kwanzer and the rest of those faggots and bitches to die?

>so many comics professionals die younger than normal people

Its not a healthylife style, its worse if you work in the Japanese industry. People there die before their 30s.

It's a sedentary lifestyle, requiring a LOT of time on a desk before you git gud, and a LOT more before you can support yourself. There's a lot more John Byrnes and Peter Davids in the industry than there are Jim Sterankos or Grant Morrisons.
