Alright lets be honest, my eyes burn and before someone says it yes ive watched the abominatiom of a show and no it is in no way funny, anyway i cant be the only one planning to literally sabotage this in my town right?

 No.1011703

It's going to sabotage itself just fine. No need to do anything but keep as far away from the visual carcinogens that film will contain.

Well from what ive seen it most likely will appeal to todays brain dead children who will most likely force their parents to take them to see it, it looks well made but i doubt it, ive learned 1 thing from cn never trust them with anything

I understand that childrens movies tend to do better, but a man can dream. Though it ends up being the ultimate test. Either kids really do like this stuff and it does super well, in which case the medium is dead and I can just abandon animation forever. Or TTG 'popularity' is entirely due to having nothing but the show on all day every day. In which case I get a little bit of my faith in humanity back.

One hopes the constant stream of it on CN has resulted in kids getting sick of the characters. Hell, even an excellent show played nearly 24/7 for years would start to grate on the nerves.

True even i would get sick of oh say ed edd n eddy if it was played at almost every hour of the day worst case scenario every theatre blows up lul

 No.1011709

>>1011707

CN tends to cram the show into every spot on their schedule, so that would explain the "popularity".

 No.1011710

>>1011708

I wouldn't, especially after the TTG spam.

Like how they said summer camp island is popular rn but in reality its because the TV basically did nothing but that for 2 days

this. I didn't believe this when people told me, until I went on vacation and had access to cable for the first time in a decade. THAT WAS THE ONLY SHOW ON CN!!! the meme was real, same with Nick only sowing Spongebob, and Discovery had none of the science or nature shows it used to have, and Animal Planet had no show with animals in it. just some HDTV wannabe show about tree-houses.

We didn't watch tv at all on our vacation.

The only cartoons Nickelodeon airs now are Spongebob and The Loud House.

It's the same phenomena that leads to clickbait articles. Profit above all else, and rather than try and foster new viewers with quality content it is easier to simply drive production costs to near 0 and simply bank on tvs that put on random noise for pets/children.

It is also a microcosm of television in general dying. If you don't think most channels in general see the writing on the wall already you must be ignorant of corporate culture. They are simply killing production costs all around until their revenue falls beneath the licensing threshold for a channel. Meanwhile Netflix is throwing money at whatever production company will give them new things to show.

We are in a transition between cable channels and on demand streaming, but sadly rather than be adults and professional about things each company seems to be vying to exploit whatever they can to get people to pay 10 bucks a month for THEIR service. Considering most of the civilized world is dirt poor and avenues exist to get that shit for free for the desperate it will not end well for them.

>Discovery had none of the science or nature shows it used to have, and Animal Planet had no show with animals in it. just some HDTV wannabe show about tree-houses.

This is what pains me the most, they threw away their roots to be able to put out more abd more 'reality' tv shows. I mean fuck, NatGeo is getting more and more pozzed these days and my family was once a loyal reader to them. This all started when they try to bring in the 'younger' crowd with funny skits and stuff like that, but yet i felt conned for watching it. No more edutainment, no more heart put into this shit, no more experimentation to bring out the cool shit (they do that these days, but its limited to youtube clickbait-tier shows), just what you said, fucking reality shows.

Ever since 2015 however, we stopped suscribing to any of those channels since our family barely watches any TV these days.

TV in general has been on a steep decline, they're barely hanging on, unfortunately.

I'm a guy who used to watch TT and liked it.

After all the cal arts shit shows, their "reboots", and years of spamming TTG I have no faith that cartoon network will actually deliver on this or deliver a good product. This would have excited me two years ago but knowing the numerous ways the monkeypaw could play out and all end up in a resulting abomination of a granted wish, I would rather have it just die.

 No.1012683

>>1012681

The monkeys paw has burned us all, and I didn't even want any reboots or revivals.

I actually hate the fact that Teen Titans is a good show. Because i do not wish to admit something was ruined.

 No.1012702

>>1012701

Many of the cartoons we enjoyed and liked have been marred by reboots anon, there is no shame in admitting that.
