>The PPG attracts a lot of autism
You're not wrong, but PPG is way behind other cartoons in that aspect. Like, waaaaay behind…
Sonic, Transformers, Disney productions, Star Wars, Star Trek, Scooby Doo… countless IPs that have cartoons that are more attractive to the autistic than PPG.
How long you think the debate about the canonical status of Clone Wars would be around casual fans?
How violent you think it would be around hardcore fans? Heck, bring up Midiclorians and prepare you ears for the autistic screeching.
These are cartoons. Cartoons, games, comics, fantasy shows and movies, all things that attract children, and the autistic are child-like. There's your answer.
My wife goes wild when she even looks at the latter designs of Rainbow Brite, she rages about the lack or artistic integrity, and she's not even a fan of the show. She has never even seen it, she just likes the dolls (but only the original dolls).
So now think what a hardcore fan would do. My point is, cartoons turn even normals into raging autists temporarily.
But I can go full-circle here, because my wife just so happens to be a fan of some dolls and Rainbow Brite hasn't been as popular a PPG for decades. Well, go to YouTube and see the reviews for the PPG reboot.
It's nothing but people acting like my wife, dude. They have a point, don't get me wrong, but at the end of the day it's autistic.
