TTG is for general audiences. It's inoffensive enough to get the most ratings. Something more specialized like action cartoons can't carve enough of a niche to keep ratings up. Not everyone can watch tv at the same time, and those who do opt for watching "good" content while waiting for their favorite shows to come on.

So unless Genndy's new cartoon is general enough, it's not going to stay on the air for very long.

No, there is either two things that happened in regards to TCW, either a) TCW being TV Tier overrode C Tier canon (Which means pretty much everything within the clone war timeline plus a little outside that is overwritten Biloni did an excellent job of covering as much of the that timeline as possible in the short amount of time he had ) or b) TCW goes below C Tier and nobody has to worry about anything

Teen Titans GO! has improved ratings in the daytime slots that were otherwise just reruns of older shows no one was watching.

Ratings are per the slot, not per the show. TTGO is actually very good at improving ratings, hence CN decided to shove it in every slot, and sure enough they're making their money back hundred-fold.

TCW was a personal favourite of Lucas and was commissioned specifically for Episode 3 with a bunch of plot threads/characters that RotS was to cover. It's probably more canon than the CGI show, honestly.

Considering Genndy's track record and the name "Primal" it's definitely action, and probably based around dinosaurs (he's already covered 2 out of the 3 themes of the young boy's holy trinity, Ninjas/Samurai and Giant Robots Sym-Bionic Titan RIP).
