As I understand it, the "birth control" pill firstly stops conception, but in the event of conception it's an abortifacient and so causes an abortion. This is obviously evil.

I told my fiance about this and so we'll need to plan to NOT use the pill, and she told me about this nuva ring. It releases hormones to prevent eggs from developing, so conception never happens. What do you think?

I'm skeptical of messing with hormones, but that's beside the moral component.

What do you think? I'm not of the opinion that contraception is wrong, but I'm happy to hear if you have a compelling argument.

d81996  No.1367

Messing with hormones IS the moral issue. If she's a healthy woman, why would you change her to function against God's design?

>the pill is an abortifacient

source?

The pill works by simulating a hormonal state that makes the woman's womb unreceptive of the fertilized egg. That is why they are so serious about taking the pill regularly, because by missing a single pill you may just get that egg embedded to the wall of your womb and thus starting the pregnancy.

Now I personally believe that the moment the sperm enters the egg, that's a new life, so the only acceptable contraception is condoms or pulling out, or just do oral sex. Or abstain.

I like catholicism but they crack down real hard on anything not strictly "penis in vagina" sex.

So on the pill, the sperm always enters the egg anyway but fertilization doesn't happen?

We should not divide sex from its nature as the reproductive act and corrupt it into a hedonistic pursuit. Having children is making copies of ourselves that cause our existence to continue far beyond our own deaths, it is a means of cheating death, it is life. You should do nothing to prevent conception, instead you should consider any children you might sire the blessing of life from the Lord.

If by "hedonistic pursuit" you mean for the purpose of pleasure, read Song of Solomon.

I didn't think ovulation could happen with the pill

https://helloclue.com/articles/sex/do-you-ovulate-on-the-pill

… IF you take it daily without fail.

When it doubt, use a li'l robber thingie on your jimmy

Frankly the only perfect defense is a complete barrier.

>expensive

Maybe. Depends on how early in your marriage. But bebe every eighteen months is expensive, too.

(Obviously I don't subscribe to cathodox notions of every sperm is sacred. So, take what I say with the appropriate dosage of salt.)

>>1378

No, but it there does seem to be some advice out there that suggests rogue eggs can break through the hormonal barrier and unite with a sperm. It's not an "always" – I'm not sure anyone knows (or even cares) how often it does happen but the pill mitigates against it anyway with two other preventatives.

OP is uncomfortable with even the possibility of it happening.

>>1410

>binding two souls together through the sexual act is a "hedonistic pursuit"

Do you even GET what God's plan for marriage is, anon?!

This is the 21st century. We don't still marry because Daddy said, "this woman's family have lots of money and connections, she'll be your wife. Make bebe, son." You ever read anything of God's plan for marriage beyond cathodox catechism on Gen 1:28? God said:

< Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it.

That is no command of "sex is only for procreation, lads." I really don't get how you can misunderstand this book: >>1421

Just because heathens misuse and abuse sexual pleasure, does not mean you should only have sex through a hole in a sheet. There IS a middle ground.

Sorry, m8, I can get onboard with folks being anti-contraception, but this purely pragmatic view of marriage and sex … I mean, really.

God's plan for marriage is reproduction, not making your pee-pee tingle

>making your pee-pee tingle

Please point to the specific sentence in my wall-of-text >>1518 in which I stated that this was God's intent.

Correct.

You cannot. Check and mate.

How did you arrive at that definition
