I have a theory that the intellectually lazy are drawn to catholicism for it's explanatory power. When encountered by a challenging argument straight from the Bible, if you have a doctrine of apostolic succession that involves exclusive teaching power you can just wave your hand away with some authority that said otherwise.

Your theological arguments then just become rote regurgitation of the same tired quips

>Peter had the keys to the kingdom

>Mary was born sinless (pbuh)

>Extra Ecclesiam nulla salus

>hocus pocus

Note that I am NOT saying there are no good catholic apologists or good historical theologians in the rcc. I'm saying that people who feel the need to be part of such a group seem to be drawn to it.

The inverse has been observed in Libertarianism. Because it has no institutional support, the people who arrive at libertarianism tend to be more intelligent deeper thinkers.

>The social retards who can't see the problems with their Utopian meme ideology (which are glaringly obvious even to normies) are deep thinkers

Keep telling yourself that libercuck. Although you might have been unintentionally correct grammatically; the constant failure and ineptitude of libertarian ideology really is the inverse of something with predictive power.

"The Earth is spheroidal in shape, as demonstrated through many verifying experiments" seems like a tired quip to people determined to believe otherwise.

When encountered by a challenging argument straight from the Torah, if you have a doctrine of a new covenant that involves exclusive teaching power you can just wave your hand away with some NT quote that said otherwise.

My comment is unrelated to the debate on whether libertarianism is correct

>>1350

what are you attempting to illustrate?

That criticizing catholicism for having more sources from which to draw theological arguments is "glue tastes nice" tier argumentation.

re read the OP

Titus 1:14

Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.
