the way i see it, gender isn't a hard binary, it's a spectrum between masculine and feminine, so you'll get hes, shes, and occasionally a they, and that makes sense to me.
however, the poles are binary, there are two of them, so anything not on that spectrum is not something that could possibly exist in this framework no matter how much you want it to, and if you're trying to be a xir, you do not have a medical condition, you are trying to be a snowflake and you are wrong.

so the President of the United States, Donald Trump, tweeted about it.
also this week, his own son, Donald Trump Jr. likened the hoax to the testimony from Christine Blasey Ford against Trump's Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavenaugh.
also this week, a US Coast Guard stockpiled weapons in order to hunt down and murder some people.
Donald Trump didn't comment.

you'd also need to express every single part of human biology that is involved in perceiving taste in binary. and we aren't even close to knowing that stuff in any terms.
everything in theory may be math, in practice, it doesn't work. some things just need a more terse means of description.
when me and my best friend are on coke we regularly have this same discussion, where if you took one snapshot in time of the entire universe, where you knew the momentum, direction, spin, affecting forces, etc. etc. of every subatomic particle, wave, etc. etc. in the universe, you'd be able to work out everything that happened before then, and everything that will happen after then with perfect accuracy, so free will is a complete illusion, everything that happens and every choice you make was inevitable, it was just the inevitable result of what came before it, expressible mathmatically.
same shit, it works in theory, in practice it's useless because we'll never be able to do it, so we need simpler catch-all concepts to understand things

it's an interesting thought
when people say free will is an illusion, they usually mean because we're a biological computer, that placates us with an illusion of free will despite making every decision on our behalf
they rarely point out that basically everything is an infinitely complex but predictable domino effect, free will doesn't exist because what happens is only the inevitable result of what happened before it, and no matter how far back you look, if you have every data point at any exact moment, everything was always completely predictable
it's not just that it's not you making your decisions, there was never a decision, it was always going to happen

I argue over trivial nonsense sometimes, soemtimes out of depression, sometimes anxiety, and perhaps a solid argument for why these things don't matter might convince me.
But as it goes, what Trump does and what he represents as elements of the human condition bring up questions that humanity will probably have to answer again.
Back in the day, when authors and writers and artists remarked on the memes and motifs and messages of politicians or ideologies, and wrote entire stories derived from those ideas, did we consider them a waste of time?
perhaps my desire for clarity and truth also maybe has to do with the pathological liars I've considered friends over the years.

wrong, just because you can't directly measure particles doesn't mean you cannot find methods around directly measuring them to get accurate and usable results, the current quantum theories are still rapidly evolving and changing, and new knowledge is constantly being made readily available.
ultimately there will never be a full scale understanding of where we came from and exactly where we are going down to the molecule because that information has been fundamentally lost forever, but that doesn't mean we cannot get a grasp of the forces that are closer nd more relevant to us, we don't need to see exactly what happened to have a good enough idea to form the basis of knowledge with which we build the additional steps to understand, more or less, everything we need to about the universe

that's not what we were talking about though is it
if we don't know even a single variable, then it's still as good as chaos to us
so no, can't. at all. impossibly beyond our resolution given any amount of time to advance.
do you know what the quantum eraser experiment shows? is basically the double slit, but the particle is entangled with another, and the observed one lands second.
double slit shows particles (it is easiest and usually done with photons but others behave this way) behave entirely differently if they are observed even passively.
quantum eraser shows that if you observe the second particle after the first has already hit, the first behaved as if it knew the second was going to be observed, showing on a quantum scale, time is not linear
that means at that scale, a finite number of particles can produce infinite variables, because if only one is entangled with another not observed, the whole system is unpredictable.

reminds me of an interesting story about some being that perceive time as a physical dimension, like they can go up a hill to the future and down a ditch to the past

in theory if you could keep an entangled photon bouncing around unobserved for long enough, you could use it to ask the future questions
with one particle you could start the experiment, write down the question, and get a yes or no answer from the future by them observing particle two and collapsing the wave function, one slit = yes, wave = no
with more you got binary messaging
c8b5e8 No.2356730

it's not as it is classically described at all, time is entirely different than most people understand it so calling it a contrivance is simply acknowledging that is is usually misunderstood, and it is inescapably inter-tangled with space as they are basically the same thing
