the only positive is that my work is unrelated to their incompetence. it was related to projects solely to make their lives easier, ironically. Once they have to pull any samples they store the wrong way, it'll be much more inconvenient for them, and that'll be on them.
I don't have authority over them. My colleague is their direct supervisor, so she can take my recommendations and act on them.
She's directed one of the newer people to work on fixing it. My expectations aren't that high. But at least I'm separated from that particular project entirely. Thank god.
