How can you be an atheist in a world with objective deities you ask? Easy, he denies their godhood and asserts that they are people that managed to find the cures to death itself through scientific means. He's such a passive aggressive asshole though that he also thinks that everyone who can't see the minutiae of every situation, like himself, failed on a base level to prove themselves as true thinking beings. This is why he pretends to be a woman.
