We had a tornado alert at my high school several times and everyone was always afraid to be the teacher who had to go make sure that the doors were propped open and fastened in place so that the pressure differential didn't turn all the students and faculty into mince
But where I live tornadoes are rare and we mostly deal with hurricanes, high velocity wind storms, and flash flooding
For years there was a city park and a street that passed over a bridge on its end that would flood every time there was a storm and the bridge was completely impassable
The park was a wide flat flood plain and even outside of the park grounds was a wide flat flood plain and it was so littered with underbrush and various debris from previous floods that the whole parklands would be underwater for a significant period of time and you had to go around the park on one of the farther away, higher bridges but it was super inconvenient because the flooding bridge was on the main road just north of the hospital and downtown

So far, nothing has felt like a chore. There's enough content to push you to level and an indicator when you're about to enter a zone that says "Danger Level: [number]" to let you know if it's a more bonus area and whether to just steer clear until later. It never feels unfair but I've not really been grinding or farming anything, just playing content as it comes along and having fun steal everything not bolted down in towns and using all of the skills to unlock the most dialogue, quests, and loot. I've only completed the second chapter (of what has to be a minimum of five for how many MacGuffins I need) for one of the eight characters and I'm 20ish hours in.
