You can't blame an everyman archetype on Shinji just like you can't blame harem anime.

Everything that followed Evangelion was a watered-down attempt to capitalize on its success, so all we got were watered down everymen as male leads. They would never be as tragic as Shinji, which is why they were so dissapointing and unrelatable because they were forgettable viewer insertion characters.

With so, so many beautiful love interests to choose from.

Also yeah, Dewar's 12 is nice, it's still blended but the price is still reasonable and it darkens quite a bit. From what I've had I tend to like the smoother scotch whiskies, Aberlour 12 is nice- from Speyside. I find Islays a bit thick and smoky tasting, and a lot of others aren't quite as palatable. There's a reason I like a smooth scotch.

Canadian whisky is cheap and it burns, oh it burns. It's so bad. I mean, I like a decent rye or bourbon but anything from Alberta, be it whisky or vodka, is atrocious. Alberta is populated by American immigrants and oil companies, so their tastebuds are missing.
