Well, I have to preface my answer with the fact I never had the huge hype when it first got released. That said, I think it's a really awesome alternative to Minecraft's super pixels. If you think of it as your own personal pocket universe you can explore than it's a very enjoyable scifi twist to mining advanced items and upgrading your ship and farming stuff.
