I just like the show's tone. I wish I had a name for this genre so I could search more. I love how everyone is so fucked up that they can't stop hating themselves and they can't stop fucking.

The other shows that have reminded me of this are Scum's Wish and Citrus. Scum's Wish did it best, Domestic na Kanojo suffers from the annoying beta MC phenomenon whereas in Scum's Wish everyone was fucked up with no exceptions, and Citrus had a god tier gyaru MC.
