Doesn't even have to be extreme differences. Just list and discuss any anime you think had better manga than anime adaptations. Whether it be because of poor animation, poor art, short story length, changing the story to fit episode count, poor choice in voice actors, etc.

>Golden Kamuy

CGI bears, breakneck pacing, and poor animation. Not hina.

>MHA

The gripes I have for it is the animation isn't the best it could be. Especially not the tv version. Shading is all gone but that tend to happen with anime versions. Voice acting is a plus, at least in japanese. Pacing is fine but sometimes it feels like the show took too many long pauses. Music is hype though and having bonus anime only material is kind of cool. But I'd still say the manga is great enough as it is without all that.

>Goblin Slayer

CGI is good when you use it sparingly in situations where it's harder to animate in 2D. But this show can't use it right at all. Somehow the CGI goblins look worse than CGI GS. Changing events around in the story to save the farm assault for the last episodes was kind of dumb but I see why they did that. I don't understand why they pussied out and censored themselves when the manga let everything hang out to add to the horror of the situations. This and Golden Kamuy are the worst offenders on my list so far. Definitely stay away from their anime.

>Hakumei & Mikochi

Too short. I didn't even know there was an anime till I found the first volume of the manga while browsing a bookstore.

On the flipside, Aureo Vento is the opposite. The anime is way better than the manga.

I just wish the official blu-rays for Jojo weren't all copyright friendly. I wanna enjoy the full experience with the references in tact in the subs.

I completely forgot to put Tokyo Ghoul on the list. The anime isn't horrible but it does skip and change far too much. Ruins the experience. The live action movie was a more enjoyable adaptation.

Trips of tragedy.

Character dies? No problem! He'll come back as a ghoul or one of the bullshit 'hybrid' ghouls. Be rest assured that no matter which character you grow attached to, they'll never stay dead, because in a manga that centers around dark themes, death actually having permanence and meaning is too spoopy!

I can't stand stories that pull that shit. Even aside from all of its' other flaws, that alone is reason enough to discard that trash. It's one thing if a light-hearted show does it, but a manga that markets itself on 'mature' themes and then proves that death will never, ever have any meaning is eating its' own foot.

Most of them. I'm not kidding. Adaptations from manga to anime are usually worse. Not at first, but then the filler hits. Worst of all, are the anime that rewrite endings, destroying the story.

Anime productions that divert from the source material manga are ALWAYS trash. Started out great and went to shit at the end, a poor adaptation.

Kokoro Toshokan anime was better than manga; manga was more fan-servicey & shallow. The anime directly added backstory and the idea of chisai no kiseki (small miracle).

S-Cry-Ed was a shitty Jojo clone that ends prematurely. The anime was a huge step up.

 No.78787

Dumb thread, if you read manga at all (and I mean actually reading manga because you read manga, not just reading manga because you can't wait to see the rest of your favorite flavor-of-the-month seasonal shounen anime) you know every single anime adaptation sucks dick, this is true not just to manga, if you read LNs or VNs you know that anime adaptations suck and there is always something lost from the original.

Anime adaptations suck 99% of the time.

Let's do the reserve of this since most Anime Adaptations are garbage as some people have probably INEVITABLY pointed out. Sakamoto Desu Ka?! was fucking glorious in it's execution, first of all the anime provides unforseen fidelity to the artwork, and additionally improves significantly on the perspectives plus action choreography. The new narration lines being corny yet voice acted semi seriously also adds a serious flare of wackiness to a deceivingly "mundane" show. It's been years since the animation adaptation of anything blew me away like Sakamoto. It's so sad, yet arguably for the best, that both the series and manga ended so soon.

Nah, I'm inclined to agree. The whole appeal was watching an autist try to stumble through life and maybe grow a bit as a human being, not collect 30 girls all inexplicably aiming to jam it in. If they'd kept things consistent and just had it as her learning to cope with life and slowly making fewer fuckups I'd still find it appealing in some way, but now it's just quirky pseudo-haremshit.
