Let’s have a Bushido Girl/Shrine Maiden appreciation thread. I think this type of character is heavily underrated, perhaps because they come off as aloof or masculine, but they’ve really grown on me. They’re a foil to the typical tsundereshit love interest because they are calm, rational, and often the voice of reason. They tend to be student council presidents, from old noble families, or from wealth. They tease the MC with sarcasm and wit, and underneath their masculine exterior is a surprisingly warm feminine interior.
