A lot of Nagai's stuff, especially those related to Devilman, were meant to symbolize the horrors of war and/or violence in general, especially violence towards women in an attempt to dissuade the audience from becoming desensitized to those things in the real world. But for someone who thinks he is preaching about stopping le misogyny and violence xd, he sure seemed like someone who actually fetishizes Mad Max tier dystopias and naked women getting raped by monsters.

It's been years, to think that a man of high calibre such as me still hasn't deciphered this masterwork. To this very day, when I rewatch the OVA's I think to myself:
