Did this end up getting axed?
Last time I read it was when it was scanned up to about halfway through the story. I just re-read it from beginning to end and the pacing was absolute trash.
It gets to about half way and it feels like it's reaching peak gay community, and then it blows its load on a couple false climaxes, wobbles back and forth for a good fifty chapters, introduces characters literally out of nowhere, gives them arcs, and then has them conclude with ultimately no impact on anything or anyone, then it has the most mediocre, emotionless conclusion to a romance (I've been invested in) I think I've ever seen.
What felt most bizarre is that it wasnt TLR or something like that where there's not even a pretense of character or story development. It just felt like the author wanted to write prunus girl, did a pretty decent job, then ran out of ideas, was forced to draw it out instead of giving a satisfying conclusion, and then just phoned it in when the last of all emotion and investment had dripped down the drain. I feel genuinely robbed.
