I'm late to the (after)party and don't even have anything insightful to say, but I finished it. The resolution was a bit weak, and it certainly wasn't helped that I could barely remember any of the important keywords, concepts, and flow of the show due to the months-long break.
Mostly I was just more than a bit mad that Arato and Ryo didn't duke it out, physically or metaphorically, at the final stage. It really felt like Ryo just completely gave up and conceded the battle to Arato for no good particular reason after railing against him for the entire show. Man i'm mad about that. The stage was set up perfectly for it. Ryo is waiting in the room, the last meager (cause he's just a single human) final boss obstacle a battered Arato has to overcome after Lacia dies and can't easily handhold or manipulate him through. He'd have to convince Ryo to step back with his own words, his own conviction, or failing all that, his fists. It was gonna be great, but instead we got some lame Snowdrop round 3 bro-op garbage.
How did Lacia even die, actually? Did I miss something because she only seemed to have gotten a nasty gash on her thigh and that is nowhere near enough to knock her off permanently.
