Let me put it this way:
All the moe comes from the chuunis
But the story also revolves about chuunis having to grow up
So the story has this nice ballance between moe and drama
Characters grow up, and are chuunis no more
Last episode throws a curveball at that, but it can be seen as a way to have closure. You'll know when you see it
Then second season comes, throws all character development out the window, everyone is chuuni again, and the plot is a blueballing generic anime drama.
It's like a bunch of executives sat around a table and wrote the gudelines for a second season
>so, what do kids like nowadays
>moe sir
>ok this series has to be moe
>but sir the story arch is done, the source of moe is gone
>do I look like I care, just bring it back or whatever
>any new characters?
>nah, keep budget low
>there is no romantic rival for the love interest
>sigh… then add ONE character, to rival the girl
>got it. Do they kiss in the end? I mean they already are a romantic couple-
>hahaha, are you kidding me? NO of course not. If they kiss I wont have material for a possible third season or an OVA. It's not like I can write an engaging story with a different plot or something
OVA comes out this year I believe. I don't even want to come near it
