Looking for good series that tackles the human condition very well.

I like this scene as it portrays complacency and neglect as the source of all of human suffering/shortcomings, instead of being a result of circumstance like many other series do.

Evangelion does a pretty good job of this. It's a meme series at this point but it does show the human condition fucking people over in unique ways.

LoGH

Don't act too cynical for too long, and remember to have fun.

>Evangelion

Yeah, I already watched that. It's pretty good, but unfortunately things turn to shit near the end.

>LoGH

I plan on watching this, but can't decide whether to watch the old or the new.

I prefer the old artstyle, since the new series looks too shoujo-ish to me.

>THERE IS NO HOPE LEFT FOR MAN

Yeah, I'm well aware of the financial slavery of mankind.

I wish there's a way out of this, shit's fucking depressing as hell nowadays.

On LoGH you can watch the old show in a couple to a few weeks depending on how motivated you are but the new series if it's ever completed at all will take 20 years.

Does the old series follow the source material faithfully?

And does it end on the same note as the source material?

If not, then I'd rather watch the new one.

>>39340

I'm a secondary on this as I haven't read the books but the hearsay is that the original series at least in the beginning is closer than the new one. The new one seems to be more of an adaptation of an adaptation even if they will claim otherwise.

>should I watch one of the most critically acclaimed long-running animated series of all time or watch a shitty nu-anime remake with ugly CG that was made purely for cash-milking just like Hollywood remakes

Come on man.

I'm asking purely because things like HxH (1999) and HxH (2011) exists.
