Which would not be an issue if they had executed that concept in a fun way. I think I already described this in an older thread but imagine if the MC was actually some sort of godlike being who created a religion revolving around himself and the show would be about him forcefully converting small villages, forming holy orders and completely destroying the populations of large cities who refuse to convert due to them not believing in his powers. That's one way to tell a story with an overpowered character and make it interesting, you just have to go all out with to what degree the character is overpowered, just like with One Punch Man.
