The macrophages are just straight out of Bloodborne. Machetes and frills, all over the place. Fucking awesome. Also, Red Blood Cell-chan confirmed for having really strong legs and a nice rack. I'm going through the manga now (not the Black version, couldn't find it, I think it's new), and it's really good. Platelets are so adorably cute, you just want to hug them and care for them all day.

So they really do just stand around and make others work.
They also work together with basophiles in that they react to things the other cannot. Seems they work together with Mast cells too, just produce stimulants in a different way.
