I'm not sure if my awareness is growing stronger, but I've been noticing this a lot more often and it's annoying the shit out of me. Here are a few series where I began to notice this:

Ergo Proxy has good art/animation overall. But the first episode is so much better the rest of the series pale in comparison.

Skip to 13:30. They cared enough to animate the wobble of her gun after shooting. That's attention to detail right there.
