Actually, been playing around with the source image for that banner to see if I can get a pan as a gif. Seems I can get it close to 500kb in photoshop, but not under it yet. I don't want to lose too much detail by killing the maximum colors, but at the same time I don't want the pan to be much faster than it is. The Tifa post was so much easier to make a panning banner around due to limited shades involved in a single post.
