I didn't know what I was expecting, but it certainly wasn't the gay community. I hope the silly inanity of this episode was a one-off. Even if it wasn't, I hope it at least changes the style of gags week by week.

Can't we just enjoy a funny little show about a space pilot's daily battle with autism? You guys are way too sensitive.

Too much fujobait this season made us sensitive anon.

They showed him naked way too often and way too long for something 7min long.
No.22050
The humor in this one just aint hitting me. I think it's the pacing. It's a longer short at 7~ minutes so they have ample time to establish setup, punchline, etc etc, but so far it hasn't had all too much payoff. A picked-up dog growing to gargantuan size and taking up the cockpit isn't funny, nor was the pondering buildup. Where's the humor in a motherly mechanic rearranging his Cockpit as if she were arranging an adolescent boys room, only for it to end up with him, yet again, autistically screeching about his safespace being disturbed? There's insufficient payoff for these long buildups, or they end predictably and stale.
No reason not to watch this since it's so over so quickly, but similarly, there's no reason to watch it in the first place. That said, sometimes humor takes time to establish itself.

I like it because MC is such an autist. You are right though, this episode felt very joke lite considering the length. Still makes me laugh so going to watch it.

Problem being that they do multiple jokes per episode.
It's effectively 2 3 minute shorts stitched together.

This is the only thing remotely watchable coming out every monday. So, eh, I'll probably watch it all. Makes me chuckle every now and then, second half of todays episode was alright.

So is nobody going to talk about how cute the new pink mech is?
No.24507
I just saw this thread and decided to watch. This show is hilarious. Not in the LOLSORANDUM hilarious way either. It actually has one or two gags that they focus on and they can do multiple punchlines with it too. Thanks for the heads up OP.
Also one question. Does this take place in a weird alternate Space Battleship Yamato universe? The title names are similar and the captains dress the same way.
No.24514

The show is full of references to all major space shows. The most obvious is the red enemy mech in the OP, but the mothership has Star Trek engines bolted to the sides and so on.

We kind of shifted to that Alive or Alice thread for no good reason imo, but whatever don't miss it there.

I'm pleasantly surprised.
Instead of doing something serious, they completely 180'd it back to comedy within seconds. The whole episode is gold.

Is there something about this anime that prevents webms being made?
I've tried to make a few, but video quality comes out horrible every time. Will try again later but for now you can make do with my stupid rant about not being good at webming
No.27013

the other shorts are 3 minutes long, this one is 7 minutes
excluding the op and ed its still 6 minutes so roughly half the bitrate as the 3 minute long ones; additionally it isn't either constant action or a series of stills and panning shots but a combination of the two thus 'crf' would be better than a constant bitrate
if you're really set on doing this, split the episode into part A/B
No.27016
>>26908
Nope. Sketch comedy is not random comedy.
Randumb would be something like poop jokes, SD, stupid silly faces, etc..
Think Dr. Slump
Or Excel Saga (partially, since a lot of episodes revolve around at least a couple scenes to setup jokes)
