The first third was best, imo. Really comfy and fun, with interesting setting (especially the rural village) and seemingly endless possibilities. Second third was also great, comfiness replaced with feels, although the part where MC spent searching for the village was rather boring due to how drawn out it was. Third part was when massive plotholes started popping up, but thankfully the feels bombs diverted attention from that enough for the movie to stay enjoyable.

Been working on my own personal subs for this, and I'm almost done. I plan on uploading the ass file and its attachments somewhere when finished. Based on kuchikirukia's (the version with Honorifics), with ED and credits from Niisama, with styles based on kuchikirukia's existing styles, with styling and typesetting by me to make the credits bottom margin appear higher throughout and the ED lyrics more readable. I didn't like how movie ended when I saw it.
Sure it's very pretty, and I really liked one of the animation sequences, but it had such a glaring plothole resulting from them being from different points in time. I also disliked the sweet and sour ending (I don't want to use bittersweet) when they forget everything that fucking happened but still find each other at the end.

Yeah, most services don't support softsubbed streaming, because of the lack of video player support in browsers and in javascript players. Also in streaming protocols themselves, I assume. Even if they support softsubs, it's never Matroska with ASS. So you would have to encode it with hardsubs prior to streaming. Sorry anon.

I told you to convert the subs to srt, but this kept a lot of info (like <font="benis">text</font>) which doesn't work with the youtube subs.
I think the youtube subs also will check to make sure the subs you upload don't have any out of range subtitles (something that appears after the video is over) and won't let you have invalid subs
thus in the future if you choose to use youtube subtitles convert it to webvtt
