I hope that's not the case. Obviously we share content from the few Patreon pages worth taking from. If all these creators migrate to the platform, there will probably be a huge fight for Patrons. I've always kept a limit on $15 a month for Patreon, even if it means I've gotta stop paying for content I really like. Obviously other folks have their own limit, but everyone has one, and I'll guess it usually isn't over $25 a month. If these new creators all jump to Patreon, they'll end up getting starved out of Patrons in some way or another. This could mean that the best creators win out, or it could mean that some good content isn't made because a creator isn't making enough money on the platform to justify keeping their page up. Personally, I hope that creators either don't get banned on tumblr, or that they move to another site where they can freely share their content, rather than feel that their content needs to be behind a paywall in order for the community to see it.

In case people are wondering, Maggie’s Cappies seems all but done for. It’s a shame really as she used to produce quite a good amount of decent content. In the last few months however she’s been getting progressively worse on delivering content, there is a ridiculous amount of caption tiers that are going unfulfilled (assumedly since the slots remain filled but there has literally been zero posts this month), she’s failed to deliver on her community caption for December, and the actual transparency with her followers is virtually non-existent.

If anyone is still subscribed to her I’d recommend reconsidering your pledge as she’s clearly not worked for anything in recent months.
