Here you go. It was an interesting challenge to convey forms and edges without being able to use any black dark outlines. I'm reasonably happy with the results though, and I feel I learned a bit from doing it.

Since this thread allows requests, and since it seems we are ignoring the original edits thread, I thought I might post these that I did in this thread as well. Any thoughts on how I did, comments, critiques, etc? These are my first two diaper edits, so I'm still learning. Want to do a wet version for these as well, but don't know exactly where or how to start.

There are two basic things which your eye uses to judge depth in an image: shading and occlusion. Technically there are also a bunch of others, but they are much harder to reproduce in a 2D image.
For shading, a good rule of thumb is that the more angled a surface is with respect to the camera, the darker it should be. On a sphere the center should be lighter while the edges should be darker. The position of light sources matters too, but it's a bit less important.
Also, if there are two parallel surfaces, one a short distance in front of the other, the rear surface should be shaded darker around the edges of the front surface. You can see both of these techniques used on >>48975
For occlusion, you basically have to make sure that anything which is meant to stick out obscures things behind it. The best way to do this in my experience is to draw a wireframe mesh of the object where you want it to go. Rather than just drawing the outline, draw contours which define its shape in 3D. That will naturally tell you where the outline should go in order to give it volume, and will also help you see which surfaces are facing the viewer and which are angled (for shading). I've attached a WIP image so you can see how I did this for the other picture.

As for actually executing the shading part, what I do is I just go on the color pallet and drag down so I get some shade of grey/off-white and then cover part of the diaper, then use the blur tool to smooth it out and blend it with the surroundings. Is that how you do that? I am using SAI if that is important. Its the method I used for >>49045 as well. (although there I basically followed the shadow, I didn't use a wire frame or anything like you were saying.)

I use GIMP (specifically the 2.9 dev version which has canvas rotation).
Basically I put down a base coat of off-white over the whole diaper, then locked the alpha channel on that layer so I couldn't paint over the edges on later steps. For shading I used the "airbrush" tool - basically a brush which deposits color at a roughly constant rate. I chose a dark shade, set the flow rate to low, and just gradually built up the desired shade in each part.

It's not too bad. The main problem is that the lighting looks inconsistent. You need to add the line of shadow under her dress which originally fell on the region now covered by her diaper.
It's tricky in this case though because the diaper template you used already has shadow on it. Here's how I'd do it in GIMP:
>use the eyedropper tool to sample the shadow color on her diaper
>use the fuzzy select tool (the wand) to select all the non-shadowed plain pink parts of her diaper
>expand the fill by 1-2 pixels and possibly feather the edges a bit
>on a new layer use the brush tool to paint in the new areas of shadow
>repeat the same process for all the fiddly little butterflies and white trim at the top

The spot looks a little too "hard" colorwise therefore i recommend lightning it up a bit more.
Also, I don't think the diaper would have a camel toe if it gets wet (wet diapers sag). So besides the wet spot, the diaper looks clean. Compare these two pics for what i mean.

its actually not that hard to draw a diaper onto a body, if the positioning is right. Find an existing piece of diaper artwork you like, and then find something without a diaper you want to have a diaper. Study the shape of the lines on the diaper and all that, then just carefully imitate it. It helps if you have a tablet or touch screen with a stylus. Thinpad X60 and X61 have a built in wacom tablet in the screen, heads up, and also gives you a nice little portable laptop that is halfway decent. You cant do graphics intensive gaming on it of course, but its perfect for a little every day laptop, especially if you put a ssd in it. then it is REALLY quick. Not fast, but quick.

So I don't really know where to post this because it's not exactly an edit in the traditional sense and it's not exactly the kind of video that would be posted in, well, the video thread. If anything it's more of an experiment.
Couple things to note:
1. I am using a video editing program called VSDC and i think it's alright for the time.
2. Used Handbrake to convert the original wmv file to a webm. Any tips would be great because i'm a super noob when it comes to that kind of stuff.
3. I feel it needs a few more sounds to make it better. Don't know what to add though.
Any other criticism would be great as well.
